Rained like I've never seen before and result is mudslide in the village so some roads blocked. Pleased to not be working today.
Need to pack for the weekend then I'll catch up on a bit of admin before it gets out of hand10 -
Morning. It's grey outside and absolutely chucking it down. Lovely weather for ducks as they'll have new ponds forming at the end of the road for them to move intoWeirdly I'm enjoying it, have the windows open wide downstairs and relishing in the cool breeze. I'm even looking forward to the hoovering when Dave wakes up, and that is not normally me..lol Normally if it's grey and miserable I hibernate...not today I'll do the housework that has been languishing under the dustand carp...lolThe dog is not happy though, he keeps cuddling up to me on the sofa and looking at the windows. He's thinking of hiding in his den as I think he senses thunderstorms in the midst and he feels safe there when it thunders. Not sure what else to do as Dave will be watching football later so I'll get what needs done before the TV is taken over with football till Gogglebox at 10pm 😉Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

That's the whole house hoovered and bed made, well sheets pulled up and pillows plumped 🙂 Had a bowl of Greek yogurt and fruit mixed in to revive my energy. Feel better now. Reached out to a friend that I haven't seen since the pandemic started back last year, hoping she's up for a cuppa and a natter this afternoon then Dave can watch football in peace 👍xxxMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Hello all. I have been on the go from dawn till dusk for four days no and I am exhausted.
Today I have done first work shift, walked the dogs and played in the field with their ball, run an errand and I've just eaten lunch. I'm about to put second wash on then complete the dailies before hoovering through and then having a nap before second work shift. We are out tonight for the football and I won't be able to drive I'd be I don't get some more sleep first.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Glad you arrived home safely, Ionafan.Wow, Kazwookie - that's going some! I hope you're not too stiff today. Good news your OH wants apple crumble.Clearing paperwork that I thought would be a few minutes has turned into a whole day at my desk. Several irritations decluttered, so that's helpful. Onwards and upwards.Better is good enough.9

Afternoon ladies
I have managed to get two loads of washing line dried before the heavens opened. The children are now putting it away for me ahead of our lazy Friday pizza 'n' chips dinner. The DW has also done it's thing, I have made a steak pie using tinned stewing steak and lots of bendy veg, I have made cheese melts using LO pastry and had a lovely conversation with a Flylady
The makeshift pond, the duck house and the new run have all been erected ready for the latest poultry additions arriving tomorrow. It is going to be a long but exciting day, and am factoring in a trip to Mums so have a small pile of things ready to re-home to her. She is going to feed us and cut DS hair as well, which is a huge help.
Have lovely evenings all xx10 -
Hi all
Paid stuff done for the week. Mad dash to DS1s with his suit and best shirt as he was told at the last minute that they needed him to take horses to Royal Ascot tomorrow. It was a bit doubtful whether it would go ahead because of the rain but it's all systems go. DS2 has messaged to say he has just finished his last exam of year 2 at Uni, and my brother is on his way North with SIL and niece for the weekend. Lots to be happy about.
It's just started raining here. Have finished the washing off in the tumbler and hoovered through. Stretch class done first thing, my legs are feeling it and I am cycling tomorrow so it was very much needed.
I am still working my way through the Crown on NFLix, so thats what I will be doing while the footie is on I think. I have wine, crisps and a new library book too so it's all good.
Brew next I think.

ASB how many ducks are you getting, sounds excitingI have decluttered 3 hours sleep this afternoon, wopsIt is still rainingHB not stiff at all, but the rain has made it look like mud out there, and I can see where it needs leveling more. Now trying to find some turf rolls for part of the area, the rest is going to be a wild garden with flowers....Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

YL .. it is weird.. The redness is moving down my leg so my foot is incredibly itchy and very swollen now, the area around the bite itself is about 3.5 inch circle of pin !!!!!! bruising and blisters and the blood vessel running from the bite into my foot it incredibly painful, it hurts to stand and walk and my shoe won't go on.. but it looks a lot better. I've been sat with a bag of frozen carrots on it tonight lol.. It has been better today with it being cooler, I've just not put on socks so my feet are freezing which has really helped. I am going to try having it under the bed covers tonight.. I have had it elevated all week to try to drain some of the swelling which has helped but I sleep on that side so I can not sleep well because I can't move so my hip hurts. I don't think I can cope with another bite this year so I may never leave the house again. TY for asking though I bet you wish you hadn't now lol.
ASB.. I ADORE ducks.. I have always loved them. When I was 9 months old I got up and walked for ducks lol.. How many are you having? I am so jealous!
I have done 2 loads of washing and that is it today. It is simply too painful to stand and do anything.
