Looking at this house, but there’s no window in the bathroom… would this put you off ?

It wouldn't put me off, a lot of properties don't have windows in the bathroom. I'd want a great extractor fitted.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

Look at next door - there clearly was one originally.
It can be opened up again, if it's an issue. Some minor re-tiling around the aperture, but...

You can see there's an extractor.

I ruled out a property that had no window in the bathroom (and the bathroom was landlocked so no way of putting one in). At least with that property you have the option to put a window in if you want one.

One of our shower rooms is internal so does not have a window but a good extractor fan.  What would put me off your house is a toilet coming straight off a dining room.

Our bathroom is an internal room in a bungalow - roof dome and a decent extraction fan keeps it a nice, cool space

I wouldn’t worry as long as it has a good extractor fan! Many bathroom windows are opaque glass anyway, if you wanted to you could put up a fake opaque window with a light behind it for the same effect!

I bought a house with no bathroom window even though it had 2 external walls and hated it. After a year I put a window in, so much lighter even with opaque glass!

I think it would originally have been on the rear wall, and they've covered it up when they've built the extension.

    ...and yet...
  • Next door property has had that window aperture and a window installed, property was not constructed with bathroom window.

Personally i would want an openable bathroom window and a suitable extract fan  :)
