Yes, I'm slightly worried, but oh well! not much I can do!lookstraightahead said:Well I remember a long time ago you said you wouldn't even consider doing that yourself, so just beware that they may change their mind right up to exchange.0 -
Well they declared in their forms that the sale was dependent on a purchase on their end... So now I have queried with the EA as it's different to the last thing I heard from them0

IN case anybody is interested, I have a couple of updates. My purchase by all means seems doable BEFORE the stamp duty holiday ends. However, my buyer's solicitor's have been extremely slow, and decided to not do any of the searches until the mortgage had been approved (which just happened), so it looks like because of that, we wouldn't be able to. There's an indemnity insurance which apparently they can take. I don't mind delaying the whoe process but TO ME, to make it worth it, it would have to be at least a couple of months so the new stamp duty doesn't bite us so badly.
I know the vendors wanted to buy something and try to align it too, so maybe we can all get to a happy compromise, where everybody absorbs a the cost of the extra stamp duty.0 -
Hello!
Sounds like no one is really doing anything.
your vendors haven't found anywhere yet?0 -
Just asked the EA, but last think I heard they were happy to move to their mums0

In case anybody wondered we're still in exchange/completion limbo. Soilicitors are ignoring my email, but I can only hope that it is because they don't wan to say "nom we won't complete before EOM" because there's a slim chance we might5
