Thought it was too far out of town? Don't even think of putting a piano in the conservatory, it will warp in no tine0

I mean it's not the closest BUT it felt like home, and all the children were happy. That feeling is quite unique.Scotbot said:Thought it was too far out of town? Don't even think of putting a piano in the conservatory, it will warp in no tine0 -
So we've gone from "I can't afford the house I need and won't make any compromises whatsoever to get one, even though I'm miserable" to "here's a house I want to buy!", is that right?0

The house in itself has never made me so miserable in comparison to the potential compromises. This is a fairly happy middle as it's not that far away from the town centre. It's still somewhat within walking distance and it's the one that gives something to everyone in the family.kdotdotdotdot said:So we've gone from "I can't afford the house I need and won't make any compromises whatsoever to get one, even though I'm miserable" to "here's a house I want to buy!", is that right?0 -

Sadly, after Brexit, this is no longer true. We currently have a deficiency of fruit and veg pickers, hauliers, bar staff, restaurant staff and other minimum wage jobs. That's before we look at the shortage of skilled tradesmen due to a mass exodus back to Europe.Tokmon said:so there isn't any shortage of workers to replace someone if they are let go.MysteryMe said:
You are out of date.Tokmon said:MysteryMe said:If the pandemic proved anything, it is that people who are often viewed as being disposable in low paid work are actually the most important.
The job role's are important but the people are generally disposable because low paying jobs tend to be one's that almost anyone can do, so there isn't any shortage of workers to replace someone if they are let go.
Well it would be good if i am wrong because there will soon be a lot of redundancies when the government support ends so at least if there are plenty of jobs available then people will easily be able to get one instead of having to go on benefits.

where to pitch?
the shortage of properties probably means needs to be around asking.
Why are they moving?
I thought 2 miles out was going to be too far, also looking at the maps there seems to be no shortcuts out of the estate towards Truro centre if walking.0 -
wondered what that was in this picture

They're downsizing. And I'm sure they want to make the most of the current market.
I've been also trying to get their solicitor's details. I know they're the ones their broker suggested (of whom I have the details...) Tried calling the broker(out for lunch) but forwarded his details to my potential vendors EA too... The joys of selling privately!0 -
I see the 4 bed terrace you didn't like is SSTC after only a week so why isn't this one selling?
