Exactly and it’s not even the first thread/post, same comments for weeks and thousands of views!!Deleted_User said:I was struggling to understand this post when I first read it and now 5 days later I still don't understand what the point of this discussion is.
You're complaining that you can't afford the house you want yet go on over 25 pages listing off all the things that you aren't prepared to do, or give up, in order to get the said house.
Whilst I can appreciate the reasons you don't want to make those sacrifices, what I can't fathom is why you have come here to moan about it. Sorry, but I can't help feeling a little unsympathetic.1 -

I expect many of us who have contributed somewhere on this thread could have made a similar post at some time, or indeed, right now. People are frequently afflicted by all sorts human constraints when wishing to move on in their housing situation. When something blocks an immediate move, then usually it's a case of waiting until conditions change or taking steps which hurt someone, perhaps quite severely.

Fair point, I know I've had a similar post and kept having to block suggestions as to me they weren't compromises, but definite nos. It's so difficult to wait for that right (not perfect) property appears!2024 wins: *must start comping again!*1

only 2 new to the market in the last 2 weeksmrsmortgage said:
Which is what we're doing? The kids and us as parents have more or less the same priorities in the end. We all rather go on holiday rather than to have a much bigger house. We found one today that ticks all the boxes and is way within budget, so fingers crossed!Anyanka1 said:Sorry, OP, but have you considered just learning how to parent? E.g: This is what you can have, this is what you can't have; deal with it.
there is always a new build in budget can't complain there is too much work

or maybe this a lot of accommodation might be too far out and 2 kitchens might impede mortgage options.

I actually have two offers. The thing is, I've always told the EA, that £250k should be the asking price as I wanted closer to £260k (a couple of other EAs said it was achievable) but this EA refuses to change thatEdenbridge said:I see you are now actively marketing your existing house......what happened with the full asking price offer you supposedly had on the table?

They're too small, the girls would be on top of each other.

That one is okish location wise, but mortgage broker has advised against it.

Probably not achievable then?! You really do want all of the cakes and all of the spoons to eat them with don’t you.5

Well only two people have viewed it, so it seems like a very good ratio? When I sold a previous house I think we had around 30 viewings and only one offer. Sure I don't have a massive sample as there's only been two viewings, and one offered without viewing it. I would still think there's more potential out there.SameOldRoundabout said:Probably not achievable then?! You really do want all of the cakes and all of the spoons to eat them with don’t you.0 -
So are you selling or not? What have you told the people who have offered? Are you accepting or not?0

I really can’t understand your logic here. You are the client and as such should be dictating the asking price, realistic or otherwise
You say you have a full asking price offer which is what given that you are marketing with a guide price only?
Is the other offer the one from the “we buy any house” type outfit which you mentioned in the other thread
The pictures, particularly those downstairs, are awful and certainly wouldn’t entice me to view.Looked back at the previous ad which I guess is from when you bought and the house looks so much better in those2
