Dealer misrepresented mileage

An awful lot of assuming going on on here, given you quoted a MHEV not a PHEV and you dont know the spec of the car the O/P bought.neilmcl said:
Well maybe it'll be an incentive for them to push to reject it if they can. Nobody should be happy at getting a miserly 3.6% discount on a nearly new car when nearer 20% off for a new one is usually quite achievable.jimjames said:
OP was feeling sad about the mileage, they're probably not going to be cheered up by thatneilmcl said:

It doesnt. At £27K its the cheapest in the country relative to the same models out there with comparable miles.neilmcl said:

Getting anything off a nearly new car at a dealers is difficult right now, let alone £1,000, so far from miserly.
The cheapest PHEV new is £33k+ after discount - assuming theres one available, given new car waiting times right now. So a £6K+ saving seems reasonable, given its a further 20% less than the price of a fully discounted new car,1 -

My outcome, well, knowing what I know now, ideally I would like a further money 💰 off if possible, I don’t think 🤔 return is possible, so yes further money refunded to me. I followed All of Martin’s money saving advice, bought the car on 0% credit cards and part cash from sell of my last vehicle, had it for 8 years, finale mileage 21000. I haggled. Again following Martin’s advice, I would like help with my complaint to the dealers.motorguy said:

The OP has paid £27k for a nearly new very high trim level car with high-powered PHEV auto drive-train.
Brand new list price for an equivalent is around £36k - £40k (the exact trim the OP has is now superseded).
Brand new broker price around £34k to £35k
However you look at that, the OP has a genuine saving against new of around 20%, plus the "first edition" likely has some additional features over-and-above the current versions.
Put like that, the OP has a great deal, irrespective of 3.5k miles or 6k miles

if it is within 30 days you can ask for a refund as the car is not as described

But good luck getting a better deal than the one she already has. I don't see a loss.3
