It does depend which Kuga exactly. Broadspeed listing today has new discount prices from £24k to £36kneilmcl said:It would definitely hurt if that's all you managed to get off, even with the mileage discrepancy. You could probably have got a new one for that sort of money.
Did you not check the likes of Carwow etc beforehand?0 -
Did I forget to say it’s a PHEV,

Someone else in the thread brought that up, OP replied to themGrumpy_chap said:
I am not sure how your vaccination status is relevant to the mileage on the car?emmastevens said:I’ve actually had both courses of my Covid-19 vaccine back in jan/March. Currently making sure 25 plus are being booked in and vaccinated, so yes I thought i would treat myself with a new car. Yes I am very angry with myself for not noticing the error, very 😡. I bought car cause of low mileage and if I had known, then no I probably wouldn’t have purchased it or might have bargained some more. What irks me is that in the same breath I am told car is still being used, and then on the paperwork they make a mistake and not declare the actually mileage? Am I missing something. Yes it’s my fault.2 -
Someone kindly sent this link
https://www.themotorombudsman.org/case-studies/mileage-misrepresentation- “The paperwork clearly showed the incorrect mileage, and the consumer was entitled to rely on this.
- Test drives are not about verifying details on the paperwork, but about getting a feel for the car, and checking that its specification and characteristics meet a buyer’s requirements.“

Lets say they refund you - which i'd have thought was the best case scenario - and you go forth to find a similar miles replacement. Cheapest with 3K miles is this one at £28,500 ish

Are you happy to personally pay an extra £1,500 to get that very low miles?0 -
So by the time it hits its first MOT, we're looking at 19,300 miles vs 16,800 miles on the clock. Zero value difference. It's still so low mileage that many people will avoid it, and you will still have spent about £1/mile on depreciation.emmastevens said:It’s a Ford Kuga, 8 month old, and I normally drive 5000 mls per annum.2 -

OP was feeling sad about the mileage, they're probably not going to be cheered up by thatneilmcl said:

Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.4 -
Well maybe it'll be an incentive for them to push to reject it if they can. Nobody should be happy at getting a miserly 3.6% discount on a nearly new car when nearer 20% off for a new one is usually quite achievable.jimjames said:

The PHEVs are much dearer.
