Mornng all
I have not started flying yet today. I am in a really funny place emotionally. Stopped in to see a girl who was my best friend for years. We had a falling out (my fault) 3 years ago and although I apologised at the time it was all part of a bigger picture where we live and we never rekindled the friendship. Now she is having a really bad time, it would be wrong for me to say why but she now finds herself with few friends. So I went to see her - it was hard so I did it on impulse on the way from school. We talked alot and I am glad I went but it has brought back so much pain that I had buried when I thought I had moved on.
Right my internet orders have arrived so I will check them and do my present list whilst I try to pull myself together. Will do a list after that.
LJD do for your friend what you feel is right. If you go with your heart you have more chance than if you go with your head. I am sure knowing that you were thinking of her by sending the text will only be a positive thing. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

OH's been and gone, I need some advice I had the banshee from next door ranting and raving at me because he had to park his van in front of her house for like 30 minutes cause there was someone next to my car, there's loads of room so it's not like she couldn't park. A reasonable person would have been patient and waited but not her, she's a right guttersnipe and threatening with it, thought she was gonna come and lamp me one at one point. she's bought the house (which she kept re-iterating -like I care  ) so I'm not sure where I stand at the council, who can I complain to? I've had 4 years of her and her rotten kids (they swear at me and call me names AND they throw all their rubbish in my garden) need to do something about it now. I could move but I don't want to and why should I? I like my house just can't stand the b*tch who lives next door, it's very difficult remaining calm though when you're being sworn at lol but I managed - just
Oh and my hoovers broke!0 -
Well finished all level 1, 2, and 3 tasks (bar fire alarm check as OH needs to do this - I'm too short!)
Also got my kitchen tasks done and now just need to finish the detailed zone cleaning and perhaps do a few more 10 minute declutters - but that's work for another day. Today is now going to be spent kicking back and relaxing.£4000 challenge

Hugs Emmb shame your hoover is broken because I was going to suggest ....
I have no advise but it is horrid living in those circumstances. I guess the only people you can complain to are the police but is that OTT? Not sure but I be Pigpen will be able to help.
Vanilla and AnW'smum thinking of the both of you for no reason othe than I am.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Thanks for everyone's advice. I text my friend and she text back asking if she could come for a coffee and chill out for half an hour so glad I did.
Embb - nightmare about your neighbour. Not sure what to advise accept well done for staying calm. I'd contact the council to see if there is anything you can do especially if she's not reasonable enough to talk to directly. We had a neighbour like that a few years ago, she was either sweetness and light or totally evil. Luckily she moved as we'd had enough of peering out the window to make sure it was safe to leave the house. Hopefully someone will have some better advice soon xxJanuary budget

Thanks guys! I could be here all day listing the things she's done She's one of these that leaves the kids by themselves, has the police there every other week cause her and her fella are arguing, the noise from them is terrible, the effing and blinding at her kids gets me the most. I thought about contacting the police, but though it might be a bit OTT like you say Dusty I just don't know what to do. I'm all upset now.
LJ she's not reasonable, you can't talk to her like an adult she just swears and rants and raves, there's no getting through to her and she never listens to what I've got to say. It's so frustrating!0 -
Oooh embb I hate people like that. I would suggest being really nice to her when she's ranting away, don't give her a reaction. Have you spoken to your other neighbours about her? Maybe they're feeling the same way.
LJ glad you text your friend, she probably really needs that coffee and chat£4000 challenge

Embb Honestly, I am not your neighbor! Though I do hate when folk park in my space! Although I'm not bothered when it's my neighbors cos I know they will move later anyway. It's folk from that house across the street.... Anyway, so long as your not making a habit of it and there is still plenty of parking space's in teh street then she can't really do anything. She could of course complain to your OH's employer and he would be told to stop taking the van home, but again, the van would have to be parked there on a regular basis and blocking access or something.
It sound's like she is just a cow and will no doubt yell herself into an early grave. Ignore her. or better yet, keep a diary of her behavior so if she does decide to complain you have a good argument that she is just a trouble maker.
Oh my god!!! I need to get DS2 to nursery, NOW!0 -
Tia he's never parked there before and I've been here 4 years, it's his own van as he's self-employed and no he didn't want to have to park there but there was no choice at the time, she parked next to him right in front of her front door, she's just an unreasonable cow, I know it's annoying but there's ways and means of asking people to move without threatening to call the police and her partner so he could come and move it if he didn't get it shifted - like !!!!!! is she on? lol
I'm trying very hard not to let her ruin my day but it's not working at the minute lol
Good news about the text LJ nice one x
Nicola no-one likes her lol - her son assaulted one of my neighbours' kids and no-one lets her kids play with their kids, they're that bad.0 -
Embb.. smack her in the mouth.. ok maybe that is maybe a bit ott.. Contact environmental health about her noise.. the rubbish etc.. and council/en.H have forms which they send you out to fill in with details of every time they are unpleasant etc. See if you can get a few of the other neighbours to do the same.. preferably not the ones she speaks to!! The can have her up on charges of anti-social behaviour if she does this too often.. especially as the police will have a log of her behaviour as well.. every bit helps!! But the police cannot actually do anything unless the residents complain as well. As for swearing at the children.. get on the phone to SS every other day.. that should kick them i their direction as well which can only be beneficial! Don't let them make you iserable.. I'd probably have told her she should have picked up the van and moved it, or just yelled at it to move.. I'm sure it would have or she could have had some manners and buried herself under the patio.. etc.. but I am not in a very pleasant mood today... actually I am a complete witch today.. I had a huge rant at school too..
.. gave me a headache but felt good.. as suspected she started on the vaccination whinge.. then moaned because DD3 is still in nappies for bed.. I offered to allow her to wash wet sheets 2-3 times a night but she declined lol.. *sigh* I need a hobby!!!
Today.. I can't be faffed.. so whatever gets done will be nothing short of 2 miracles and the barrel of a gun at my head.. so I'm not doing a list.. look.. rebellion!!!!!!!
