    Evening all!

Just checking in - some very sad news on here today - hugs to all who need them, especially Denise and jjef.

Had a long day today - didn't finish marking the 90 books I had to mark until 5.35pm as there was a maths booster lesson in my room, and the cleaner was very chatty! It took me until 6.30pm to get home, cos there were 2 major accidents on the motorway, and I had no choice but to drive that route as it is the only way home. It was freezing out tonight here as well, so I'm going to make sure that I wrap up better tomorrow, and try to mark some of the work at lunch and breaktime so that I don't have so much to do after school.

Thank you to tinselfairy for your card. That's my third Christmas card this year, so I'm catching up with my MIL who has 5 (she's 67 and has way more friends than me). I must get around to writing mine - I bought them a while ago, but had a lazy weekend cos the weather made me feel sleepy and in hibernation mode. Can't wait til it starts to get lighter in the mornings again - got up in the dark and got home in the dark - I never saw daylight today! Only 11 days to go!

Got to update my CV tonight, as another school has approached the agency asking for someone to do a maternity cover for a Year 5/6 class from January to July, so if I get this one, it'll be 2/3 of my NQT year signed off, which will be fantastic.

Well I'd better get on with it, and stop nattering.

Hope everyone has a nice evening, and that poorlies and unhappy's feel better soon.

oh and I'm wondering how to make a christmas wreath out of rawhide dog chews.

Cut a cardboard thin circle shape then tie chews onto that by twisting ribbon or twine in a criss cross effect over the chews. Add large bow and hanging loop and voila!

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Mum on a mission, thats what I was thinking. Will wrap wire round them (have nice gold wire), Mum and Dad will know how to take them off anyway, and will tie on a few doggy biscuits with ribbon.

I will take a pic when I'm done!

Started in the kitchen okay, then after 10 minutes my sister rang, obviously needed to talk, and was on the phone for nearly two hours. So I whisked round doing the bare minimum on the rest of the kitchen, dashed downtown to do the bit of shopping I needed - and didn't have time to buy bras, grrrr, had five minute lunch, went to pick up DS1, and waited and waited, texted, rang, then gave it up as a bad job and went to S'bury's. Then he texted to say he was just chilling in the common room, and would walk home. If I didn't love him so much.....Quick rush home, sorted washing, changed, put on some make up, then off to parents' evening for DS2!! All went well, except for his geography teacher, who I took an instant dislike to, and who nearly made him cry. Don't somehow think that he'll be choosing that as one of his options!

OH and DS1 did dinner - planned to be curry, but DS1 inexplicably used Black bean sauce instead, so interesting combination with naan bread...

Working tomorrow, and the forecast is for it to be much colder, so not looking forward to it. Must, must get a nice teaching job in warm classroom!!

jjef and Denise - such sad news. In my prayers.
It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be

Hi LJD1 - I had a nice birthday thanks although not as exciting as yours! Went out for lunch with mum, dad, brother and his family but I didn't know until I got there that they were going - just thought it was us four so that was a nice surprise. Didn't get my lie-in as DH was snoring when the kids came to wake me up and there's never any chance of waking him!

I would definitely take advantage of the 6 hours travelling time owed!

Right, CV is now updated and sent off - looks much better than it did, and includes all of my supply teaching - I've been to 10 different schools, and taught every year-group from Reception to Year 6 in the last month! No wonder I'm tired! And on that note, I'm off to bed for my not-so-early night, so sweet dreams to all, and I hope tomorrow brings you a good day.

    Night, night,
