    Morning everyone.

I managed to get a fair bit done yesterday (more than I imagined I would at any rate).

Manic Monday- Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
Clear and wipe those surfaces, even if around things! DONE
    Level Two
    Clean floors
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, wipe any spills DONE
Wipe dining table (clean table cloth if necessary)
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe & replace small appliances such as kettle, toaster etc (wipe under too, especially the toaster!) DONE
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances, don't forget those kick boards DONE
Check those washing machine, tumble dryer, cooker hood and dishwasher filters DONE

On to day 2 with a flying start...

Such sad news about the baby and the bride. Life can be such a pile of pants at times.

  • Well I'm doing level 3 plus some extra missions today. I'm also going to spend a bit extra time in the kitchen as I couldn't finish yesterday, plus it's zone of the week. Need to find my degree certificate - have a few ideas where I put it. Also need to make a dent in the laundry!

    Good morning one and all

Just dropped DD off at school early as she has an early morning exercise class which she loves. Her and her friend go off looking all important (they're only 8!).

    Lots to do today.

    1) Dining room
    2) Hall, stairs and landing
    3) Cat tray (smelly!)
    4) Quick whip round our bedroom
    5) Take mum to the shops

I'm not working today as i'm keeping Tuesdays free in the hope I can get some voluntary work in the New Year.

Bit of advice please - I don't want to hassle my friend who's husband is at the hospice but do you think it's ok to just send the odd text. I don't want her to think i've forgotton her but equally I know this is a very private time for them. Any advice please!

Right, i'll catch up with you all later xx

Morning  Goodnight Denise x What happened to your friends daughter is tragic, I cried when I read it, Bless her :(

LOL LJ snap! my littleys just gone off looking most important to hers aswell. RE: the text, I'm sure your friend will take great comfort in the fact that you haven't forgotten her, and that you care x

Thanks to tinselfairy for the card it arrived yesterday, I was most impressed that it had a little glittery fairy on it so it matched your name, I like things like that :D

Didn't do the kitchen as such as yesterday, tbh, my S&S includes wiping everything down and under everything so it doesn't really need a specific day, other than the windows and floors  but I didn't do those either so they're on my list for today, the kitchen is so cold (currently 8 degrees brrrrr) I can't wait to buy the house then I can wallop the adjoining wall to the dining room down, then at least it'll have some heat lol BIIIIIIIIG radiator going in!!!

Already tidied the living room ready for cleaning.....and put the bin out for the bin man.

Tuesday Living Room, Hall and Stairs

    Level 1
Remove clutter from the floors, making sure stairs especially are safe
    Check fire alarms are working!!!
    Level 2
    Vacuum floors and sofas
Dusting, even if it is around things
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
    Level 3
    Wipe door handles and banister
Move objects so dusting is more thorough, dust them before putting back
Vacuum under furniture (only if you won't hurt yourself doing it, don't want any injuries)
    Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    • Polish any furniture that is feeling a little neglected, of course if it's cluttered up then you might need to do some clearing first
    • Sort through shoes, coats and bags, make sure they are tidy & where they should be
    • Clean any glass items in this room like mirrors, clocks etc (Don't forget the top, behind and the frames!)
    • Sort through any books or magazines lying around, put them where they should be, if there is a library book due to be returned then make sure it goes back or is booked out again
    • Dust any ornaments, wipe the shelf they are on before replacing them
    My list:-
    hoover through
    S&S kitchen
    empty DW
    reload DW
    buy stamps for flylady cards
    post said cards ^^^
    clean kitchen window
    mop kitchen floor
    make beds
    wash rug

Got the pantomime to go to tonight, Jack & the Beanstalk lol do these things have intervals? I've never been to one and would like to be able to buy us all a little refresher in the break (I'll be standing outside with the other plebs in the cold, fagging it) but don't want to get money out the bank for no reason (cause I'll waste it)

    Brew, then get cracking....

LJD1, I think it would be ok, it is up to her of course if she replies, I have known people say they thought they were forgotten about but people just thought they were giving them the time they needed.

Rach, I did the same, used comparison sites like confused and others then found the better ones on quidco.

embb yes there should be a 15-20 minute interval usually, depending where you go depends how busy the food/drinks things are, most are VERY expensive, I take a back pack in with things in with us when we go to the theatre or cinema then just buy 1-2 things. I wanted to go and see Mickey Rooney in Cinderella in Sunderland but so far DP has not taken the hint!!!

Right, DS1 off to school, his bus didn't get here until 8.53am, supposed to have picked him up by 8.35am, wonders why I'm not happy and over the moon that his transport is changing. Suppose at least DS2s not going today, because he's supposed to meet his walking bus by 8.50am, he's been up nearly all night with the ear ache, he's finally settled to sleep at about 5am so think I will go back to bed now while I have the chance. Living room can wait!
One day I might be more organised...........

I would suggest a text asking how he is and offering your services for anything she might need (some groceries picking up etc)

Thanks lil_me I did wonder whether It'd be acceptable to take in a carrier bag with goodies in it to a pantomime, the rustling in the box seats will be moi :D It's the one at the customs house cause I like to support my local (go and see films there too - where I DO take my own stuff in) but I may have been swayed to go to sunderland if i'd known the legend that is Mickey Rooney was in it. If I had the cash I'd go and by myself a ticket for the afternoon show lol

Getting there with the list, but forgot OH is coming round for 'breakfast' later on so my momentum will be out the window again  and I'll have to cook *grinds teeth*
  • DD and myself are off to see Mickey Rooney on Friday night and even better we got FREE tickets! I booked for 12 of us to see We Will Rock You earlier this year and it led to me being invited to a groups and schools promotion evening. I have to go and listen to a 30 min talk on what's on next year first, but I think I can cope with that!

    morning all

went to drs, wasn't great as she was a locum and not a contraception specialist...so she has to phone me later with more info about what i can do. might make an appt to see the other dr anyway to be honest.

i feel exhausted today which is my own fault as i stayed up too late. plan is to pick my dad up in a bit, do a few bits include getting him measured for his suit and i need to go to ww and get weighed. hopefully it will be ok as i've had a lot of meals out in the last week.

not gonna get much flying done except perhaps some tonight...

I'm not working today, as it was so cold this morning, and I have a sore throat again, I must have got out of bed the wrong side as well, as I am totally demotivated and grumpy. Oddly enough, the children were really keen to go to school today.;)

I've done the above, but I've had enough, so that'll have to do for today. I'm going to go to Homebase to arrange the delivery of the wardrobe doors and running gear for the boys' room, buy present for OH in Staples, and try to get some new throws from Dunelm Mill - they're all in the same bit of town, and I'm hoping the traffic won't be too bad. Even though we're replacing the sofas in January, the throws are torn, and I really can't stand them any longer!

    Have a good day folks!
