OH's been and gone, I need some advice I had the banshee from next door ranting and raving at me because he had to park his van in front of her house for like 30 minutes cause there was someone next to my car, there's loads of room so it's not like she couldn't park. A reasonable person would have been patient and waited but not her, she's a right guttersnipe and threatening with it, thought she was gonna come and lamp me one at one point. she's bought the house (which she kept re-iterating -like I care  ) so I'm not sure where I stand at the council, who can I complain to? I've had 4 years of her and her rotten kids (they swear at me and call me names AND they throw all their rubbish in my garden) need to do something about it now. I could move but I don't want to and why should I? I like my house just can't stand the b*tch who lives next door, it's very difficult remaining calm though when you're being sworn at lol but I managed - just :o

Well done on not shouting back at her could have made it a whole lot worse. If it is a public road and there are no designated or resident only parking bays then anyone can park provided there are no yellow lines etc. If you are not sure then the council will be able to confirm the status (send them an email beats trying to call them and be passed from pillar to post!) Keep a log of all incidents (including the swearing, rubbish tipping) and if possible get photographic evidence (without taking any risks). Report her to the police and report each and every time. If memory serves me right swearing can be classed as common assault and therefore she could risk prosecution.

Sending you hugs, what a horrible situation to be in :(

blind man coming soon to put in my new blinds so I can once again walk round naked if I wish.
I miss read this first time and missed the bit about putting up the new blinds, was starting to ask myself why she was getting a visit from a blind man!!! Must read things more carefully in future.

LJD1 glad you texted your friend i know when I was spending time at the hospice with mum receiving texts from friends was something that I looked forward to it was a distraction for a few mins and was an easy way to stay in touch as i didn't have to speak to anyone but could keep in touch with them.

embb sorry to hear about your bad neighbour nothing to add that no one else hasn't said, keeping a diary record seems a good idea as is SS involvement for when the kids are left alone.

denisenz very sorry to read your news I have also visited the website andwas reduced to tears at all the kind comments written, what a tragic end to alife of someone who had everything to live for.

    Morning all,

Just posting list before I head out on the school run and dog walking - I meet up with a friend on a Tuesday to walk the dogs and then coffee so won't be back until lunch, but will catch up on the thread over lunch.

    Bits for today -
    kitchen floor

    beds
    lunches

    [strike]
    evening meal
    s&s bathroom
    [/strike]
    finish posting xmas cards
    finish ironing
    [strike]walk dog[/strike]

    Tuesday Living Room, Hall

    Level 1
    [strike]Remove clutter from the floors[/strike],
    Check fire alarms are working!!!

    Level 2
    Vacuum floors and sofas
    [strike]
Dusting, even if it is around things
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
    [/strike]
    Level 3
    [strike]
    Wipe door handles and banister
Move objects so dusting is more thorough, dust them before putting back
    [/strike]
Vacuum under furniture (only if you won't hurt yourself doing it, don't want any injuries)
    Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    • Sort through shoes, coats and bags, make sure they are tidy & where they should be
    • [strike]
    • Clean any glass items in this room like mirrors, clocks etc (Don't forget the top, behind and the frames!)
    • Dust any ornaments, wipe the shelf they are on before replacing them
    • [/strike]
    • Will set to in the living room when I return, I cheated last night and did the declutter so all it needs is a hoover and dust, but I do need to sort through the hall cupboard I have been ignoring it for several weeks and it badly needs some attention.
    Se you all laer.

    Jen

Just the hoovering and the hall cupboard to do, had a very nice walk with my friend all frosty and crisp under foot, unfortunately my spaniel decided that he had had enough and ran off eventually found him(30mins later) sitting beside the car with a look as if to say what kept you!!!!

Awww thanks AnW'smum, nope no yellow lines or anything of that nature, she thinks it's ok for her 'partner' to park halfway in front of my house though, if we're going to be picky (which I was :D ) I've just remembered she uttered something about 'nobody does that to my daughter' I was in the middle of shutting the door at the time and it's just occurred to me that she's being spiteful cause of the police being called on her for the assault. What a nasty spiteful crow she is!

edit to say:- I've made the first entry on the diary I'm gonna keep about her/them.

We've got tosspots for neighbours as well, think they can park as many vehicles on the street as they like. Going to have to dig out the stuff from when we bought the house as I am sure it says thou shall not park commercial vehicles or caravans outside.

Right better get off my butt and get to the PO, then lunch then school run.

Oh see, parking is a whole minefield of a topic is it not?!

That Car What Stole My Space last week has not been near the house since I complained to the council. And reported him to the DVLA for having no road tax... But he was stalker like, he waited till I moved, then drove forward and sat in his car for 2 hours!

Yea, blinds are up *strips* got 25 mins till I have to get snots and grots, sorry, but no flying during this time. Fresh :coffee: though, anyone having one?

I'll have a cuppa with you Tia, I never say no lol

My list looks rubbish today, but honestly I've done more than it looks, the kitchen was grotty after last nights tea. Swept my living room (it's all glitter lol) and am just about to run over it with the mop and baby wipes as Nicola suggested. Work some of this frustration off I'm beginning to get a headache.

Thanks AnW's mum and JJef - I'm glad I took everyone's advice on here and text her as she came round for a chat. I can't even imagine what her life is like right now. Makes me thank my lucky stars. She gave me a christmas list so i've managed to do some of her christmas shopping for her and well as my last few bits.

I really splashed out at the shops....I bought some thermals! Aren't I just the glamourous one. Three quarter length leggings and a vest top - actually they're nice black and cream ones. I'm so fed up of being cold walking the dog and doing the school run. I'll report back later as to whether I'm kept cozy or not.

Also got my children's selection boxes, chocolate oranges and giant tubes of smarties. I got two books for DH which I know he'll really like. So, all done! If I say i'm going out shopping again will you tell me that I don't need to!

Coffee please! Well going back to bed for 1 1/2 hours made things worse, one of the dogs in that time (they'd just been out for almost an hour) managed to poop all over the rug, so disinfecting that and vaxing it to see if I can rescue is an added job.

embb, I hate neighbour issues, but I would also be considering mentioning her antics to someone who can do something about it, either police or social services, I have heard the police can be a bit more effective if you contact them when they are left alone, if she's putting her children in danger.

DP thinks getting the car converted to autogas would be a good idea, I'm in 2 minds, I don't think it'll be worth it as it's a 1.6, see what the quote comes back as I think.

Next jobs, vax over rug again!
One day I might be more organised...........
