Morning all
Wm on, including with my thick dressing gown, as I am being brave and deciding that it is summer. GH watered as I ran out of oomph yesterday - it’s chilly out there, maybe not summer yet after all…
Off to be jabbed this morning, then into work. DD is going into work for a couple of hours to see how she copes and if she can do it. Fingers crossed she can as it will give her a reason to get up, hopefully for a couple of days a week. DH is taking time out to take her and pick her up. Right now, he is having a heated work call, so that will set him up for the day. I’ll be glad to be gone before he emerges from the DR.
Must get petrol on way home from work, traffic jams permitting - small town has been heaving this last couple of weeks as the tourists are back, so I am avoiding it whenever possible.
Have a good day, hugs to all x9 -
Morning all,
Another sunny day here. Chickens and children fed, a bit of admin done ready to post tomorrow, and I have also arranged for another surplus big item to be re-homed to a friend.
Have lovely days all x10 -
ASB, well done on the sleep, get a couple more nights like that, and you will start to feel different,.Piggers hope MIL had a restful night.Walked on the beach and did a beach clean while I was walking, managed to put the 1st lot in the next slip way bin, then the 2nd lot in the 3rd slip way, turned round and came back, and still found more, I have kept for the grandkids a bucket / 3 spades / 2 tennis balls, for the fire pit some large chunks of wood, left near the RNIL sea rescue hut, 2 jumpers, one sun hat, one pair size 10 male flip flops! and put the last of to rubbish in the bin. 10k already doneNot sure what is next for the rest of the day, but I am sure I will find something to doBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Update from me:
- grass cut
- Borders weeded
- Eggs delivered
- Lunch cooking (fish finger sandwiches, yum!)
- Two big items from the garage flung
- Friend coming over at 4pm for a glass of wine and an oven pizza. DS has footie training but I’ve no way to get him there tonight so I’ve told a white lie and said it’s cancelled. He’s already trained once this week and has a match on Sunday so I won’t beat myself up about that as well!

Remote (((hugs))) for Pigpen, Squeak and Mr Pigpen.Glad to hear your DS is feeling a bit better, Ionafan and you're getting some decent sleep.Calm and coping vibes heading for the Fayolle Household.Well done for availing yourself of your GP's services ASB. I hope you feel significantly stronger very quickly.Advice please. We keep all our spare duvets, pillows, summer cushions etc in the attic and until this year they've always been fine up there. However, having tried to air a musty smell out of a memory pillow a couple of months ago I found I simply couldn't get rid of it. I tried everything - sunshine, radiator heat, just airing - nothing worked and I tried for about two weeks so I had to chuck it. The feather pillows and duvets are fine after a couple of hours but the synthetic ones, not so much. Has anyone got any ideas before I take them down to the local laundrette's huge machine? Not sure that'll work for the foam cushions and I'd really like to depewify everything with a view to donating the excess stuff. All of this is the next tranche of stuff I have been itching to get to for weeks but needed a long hot stretch of sunny weather to hang it all outside. Ideally I'd like to clear quite a chunk of space in the attic by letting most of it go. We need to keep spares for the letting rooms but we could let quite a bit go if it were in good condition. It was all clean when it was put away.Better is good enough.8

ASB I love the fact that you are putting yourself first, let's hope after this time off you can see a way forward to make things better for yourself, I am cheering you on x
HB you have done all the things I would have suggested, hope someone else comes along with ideas.
Fayolle hope she gets on OK and if she is anything like my boy I hope people dont fuss too much, he found that really frustrating at work until everyone realised he wasnt going to collapse in a heap in front of them.
Tough week at work put firmly behind me. I have had a problem at work that has got to me a bit and I have been on my own so have been fretting. I wont think of it now until Monday.
Anyhow, behind our utility room shoe cupboard we had a massive nest of spider webs. I have a terror of touching spider webs, comes from getting them all over my face playing in an attic as a kid. Big deep breaths have been taken, the shoe cupboard carefully moved and with Henry's help the whole lot has been sucked up. The DS loo, utility and kitchen floors have been scrubbed on hands and knees, the water was black. I confess that I didnt move the kitchen sofa as the dog was asleep on it, that might get done over the weekend.
I need to make curry for tea, just waiting for the floor to dry.10 -
Hello (waves enthusiastically)
I've made a meal plan for the next few days and called at Mr Co-op on my way home from the paid stuff to buy what I needed. My covid swabbing test is at 10.10 tomorrow and then I will be self isolating until I attend my hospital appointment on Tuesday.
Fish finger sandwiches are on the menu for lunch tomorrow asb 😊 and I have oven pizzas scheduled too. Enjoy your evening xx
I'll raise my can of Diet Coke in a toast to you all: here's to the weekend and to all flyladies. Cheers
