Head still pounding but dailies are done, bathrooms s&sd, kitchen sink scrubbed, soap dispensers refilled, sofa covers changed, WM whirring and a quick hoover through done.
Just having a cuppa then I'll take the dogs for a short walk.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Morning xx
I started the day with prayer and reflection, then Graham Kendrick songs on Alexa and Bible reading.
I am now showered, hair washed, degorillaed and dressed...in a skirt!!! It must be summer 🤣
Two loads of washing pegged out even though the sun has yet to appear. Birds are fed bird bath filled, recycling out. Two videos binned and cases recycled.
I've brought a book down from the bookcase in my bedroom- Build your own Rainbow. Life Management. Published, and probably bought, in 1985. Better late than never I guess. 😏
Coffee anyone?

GI, yes, I emailed Narc0 this week - she's busy, as ever, and lurking somewhere around here some of the time.
Fayolle, I would have been tempted too!!!
I need to do some weeding and planting but I'm too tired atm...9 -
I've cleaned the banister which was looking very grubby, which led to me wiping all the light switches which ended in me tightening the screws on the back door handle. I hadn't realised they were loose until I started wiping down the door. I've checked the front door handle too- it's fine.
Maybe I do have an inner flylady after all 😊

ionafan said:Honey Bear, have you tried bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) in the wash, or white vinegar in the final rinse, to get rid of the musty smell? Google for instructions, e.g. these.Thank you for that Ionafan and the link's really helpful so I've saved it for future reference. I'll do the bicarb and vinegar tricks when I take the synthetics down to the laundrette, but not both together! The natural fibre stuff are coming up fine with a bit of sunshine and fresh air so they're fine, some of the things are outside use only anyway so I'm not concerned about them, and one has become a pet bed so its smelliness is a positive bonus for the dog. I am going to be getting rid of a few things because there is a limit to the number of spares we need. *fling*Mostly laundry and gardening going on here this weekend, to take advantage of the fabulous weather now the rain has passed. Now to read back and catch up.
Better is good enough.8 -

Fayolle I nearly spat my tea over the laptop at the swapping for a chicken comment. Yeah I get the BBQ thing too.
Kaz thank you. We have been endlessly around in circles about this. There is so much competition nowadays and to be fair I am not sure that there is much he could do without radically changing his business, and he is reluctant to do that. He goes through phases where he talks about looking for a job then decides that he couldnt work for anyone else. It's a pride thing too I guess. For my part I need to step away from it all a bit, its his choice to do what he does and I need to let him get on with it and find nice things to do myself on a weekend.
Been feeling a bit flat all day. We went out for a bike ride and had a stupid disagreement. I am also fretting about work but I dont even know why. It will pass. Going to raid the freezer for something easy for tea. I need chips.10 -
