That’s not moaning, YL, it’s just letting off steam. DH has decided to bbq this evening. Man, fire, food, what could possibly go wrong 😡. Except I have had to prepare everything, make salads etc, everything but actually incinerate the food. I might as well have just cooked it myself. But he will no doubt want a medal for “Cooking The Dinner”. I swear I might trade him in for a chicken one day. If only I didn’t have a fear of flying creatures.9

Not moaning at all YL, I know exactly where you're coming from and would feel just the same xx
Fayolle - I have 15 hens and they are far easier I can assure you, oh and they are always pleased to see me and provide me and the children with something useful every day in the form of eggs 😉😂
Lovely day, very tired for doing not much, but rested which was much needed x11 -
Quick whole house tidy up and s&s done.
had a lovely time with DS1 and his newish GF. Treated her to seeing some photo albums
We all popped in a coffee shop and my niece was working so she got to meet the gf too. Then we had an early dinner out then a few more hours at home.10 -
Good evening!
I'm sorry I have been AWOL this week - busy with the paid stuff (mainly wiping noses & bottoms!!). It has been good to be outside enjoying the sunshine though!
Today didn't go as planned 🙄 I did my usual Saturday morning LFT test & went back to bed with tea & toast. Then got up & dressed into gardening gear for some well needed hours at the allotment (lots of rain yesterday + sunshine = weeds!) I just thought I should log my test result before I set out.....oh! Faint line 😱 DD2 agreed that is not good 😷😖 PCR booked as per guidelines, and I must stay home until I get the result 🙁 This left me a bit discombobulated! As a consequence, I haven't achieved much today 😕 2 loads washed & dried, DW emptied and I have finally emptied the laundry basket of junk/clutter from last week. I will try harder tomorrow! Hopefully I will get my result tomorrow morning & normal service will be resumed!
Hugs to those that need them. Fayolle deffo get the chicken! 🤣 YL vent away! That's what we are here for! Pigpen coping vibes being sent for Squeak & OH.
Valli I hope you had a good time with your friends, but I also hope you haven't overdone it. Rest!!
Tomorrow is another day! Onwards and upwards 😁 night night all 😘8 -
Here's hoping your test is negative GI. Morning all.
Parrots taken for a banging head that also meant I was in the WAC. Will see what I can achieve today. Visitors coming for dinner later but DH will sort that.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
YL can your OH do some sort of restructuring to his business, so he works less hours / gains more profit, maybe some skyblue thinking or thinking out side the box is needed, if you want pm need some basic details and let me see what I can come up with, is he charging the market rate for the services he is offering?GI fingers crossed for you.WM x 1 done and out in the sun shineCat fedChicken out to defrost to make curryBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Good morning!
No results yet. DH has just got back from doing a virtual half marathon. I am the only one that is confined to barracks at the moment, and he wanted to get it out of the way before it got too hot!
I am going to prepare my list - I have lots of gardening jobs that can be done, and decluttering. My sweetcorn will have to wait to go out, hopefully not 10 days! 🤞
Has anyone heard from Narc0 recently? If you are lurking, I hope all is okay with you.
Breakfast first I think. It looks like a "patio breakfast" kind of day 🌞 Have a good day everyone 😀7 -
Morning all,
Fingers crossed for negative results for Round and GI.
It has just stopped drizzling, but more rain forecast for later. As DH is chief allotmenteer this year, I think it is highly likely that my sweetcorn and courgette plants won’t ever make it into the ground. Today, rain has stopped play as he is a fine-weather-weekend-morning gardener only. So he is crashing around in the loft amongst his hoard of “treasures”, doing goodness knows what. I have HHI x 2 to do at some point, but need him to put the loft ladder away so that I can actually get dressed. Or I could shut the ladder up myself….don’t tempt me 🤣.8 -
Didn't overdo it with friends, not least because I had to be up early for my CT scan. Well! CT scan dye - who knew! Anyway it's done now and I'm back home.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson
