Got a note; I'm off for another fortnight at least.
Dr was surprised about how thorough they have been ... I've been tested for allsorts...and am threatened with more tests. She's reined it in a bit though and I'm to have a blood test in 4 weeks and a chest x-ray in 6. One test they did I completely expected to come back -ve because had it been +ve I would have been ill much earlier.

((Hugs)) galore to Iona. I think that you can count yourself safely in Flylady In Need category at the moment xx Coincidentally, a work colleague also had labyrinthitis last week - I had to look it up to see what it was. Very best wishes and GWS vibes to your DS.
Just to keep to the rules - dinner sorted, kitchen tidied, ironing pile much diminished although unfortunately not gone. However it is due to me having hauled my summer clothes from the loft and shoving the winter jumpers up there. Summer clothes are now hanging up, so watch those temperatures fall,8 -
Iona thank goodness he got himself to hospital. I had labyrinthitis when I was younger and it was scary because I would just get waves of dizziness, although it sounds like your boy has got it much worse than I did. At least he is in the right place to get sorted.
Paid stuff done, called at Li@l, came home and decided to make shepherds pies for tomorrow nights tea while I was making stir fry for tonight, then made a cake while I was at it. Half way through I decided it was a bad idea because I was making so much mess. At least tea tomorrow is sorted. It's much harder flying when I am back in the office.
Going to put some washing in and do a bit of yoga, then bedtime for me.

Sending you lots of love Iona, you know where I am if you need me xx
The WM is on, kids going to sports club today so a day with my book is on the cards. I am considering contacting the doctor to see if he can sign me off for a couple of weeks so I don't have to return on Monday. But that seems 'weak' in the part of my mind that tells me to just keep going, although I know deep down by next Wednesday my mental well-being will be shot to !!!!!! again.8 -
ASB.. what do you 'owe' your employer? What will be most positive and impactful for your students? Seeing their teacher struggling or seeing their teacher admit they need some mental health time and taking that time to care for themselves?? Take the time you need, your health is absolutely the most important thing and eveyone will benefit from you being more yourself. It is weak to not say you need the time and carry on, it is a strong move to admit you need the time and self care... this stigma around mental health will only be broken when we see ourselves as strong for speaking out. You do amazing things and achieve more in a day than I do in a week.. You are everything to so many people please be everything for yourself too!
The head is pounding again.. but this, according to my data, is usual and I have another day or 2 of it.. joy.
Apparently OH promised to take Pixie to the park today so she has been lurking outside my bedroom door ready to go since 7am!Cats fedhead medicatedcuppa madebreakfast apple eaten.
not really sure what is on the cards for today but I REALLY don't want to go to the park!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)9 -
Thanks for good wishes for DS2. The CT scan was "inconclusive" so the medics are still searching for clues. He is currently sat in a chair - major progress! - waiting for the ward round. TG for mobile phones!
I have helped DH, S&S'd my kitchen, done an ultra quick tidy round here, and am off to DS2's to fly, do washing, and collect clothes, toothbrush, etc for him which I can deliver to the Main Reception at the horse piddle, and they will send up to the ward
asb you come first, then your children, and only then your employer. Wot pigpen said about what your students see is spot on - set them a good example of self-care x
Catch up later - hope everyone has sunshine in their life xxx11
