Morning all, White Rabbits
The sun is shining here and the birds are singing outside - it's a glorious day and I can feel the warmth building up already
I have got washing on the line alreadu and a towel wash going round in the machine. I'm really liking the warm days as it means I can get all the washing done, just don't like the ironing as my ironing pile will testify..lol
Round and nmm I won't say how many emails I have, suffice to say it's a lot though..
Welcome back to the madhouse nmm
Glad you are resting and didn't do the ironing Valli. Shame about the WAC but pleased you outwitted the online Dr's system
Round I keep meaning to ask you how is your eye now? Has it improved or are you still finding it taking a
while to heal?
I've got a few things to do today, not sure how they have all arrived today but Dh is helping me out so that should be fun...lol- Shower/dress
- Purpleise hair and style
- Take nets down in the house and put through the wash
- Hang above nets back up
- Take packaged up boxes to storage unit, am going to take sewing machine that has been sittinging on the landing upstairs since god knows how long.
- Drive to hospital chemist for Dave's medication. For some reason our village chemist is unable to get hold of his metho. Weird!!!
- Get red/black strappy shoes resoled.
- Find or buy black t.shirt to go with red/black skirt
- Buy giant spring onions. Tesco's didn't have them online for some reason
- Slimming World group tonight

June Goal: I weighed myself and am exactly 69 kgs, so 152 lbs; my target weight is therefore 147lbs by 30 June. Not sure if I started the day right with an egg roll but from experience it'll keep me going for hours and it's being peckish mid-afternoon that has been causing the problems. So, soup for lunch and two figs mid-afternoon are the plan for the day. Not sure about dinner, Belovéd's turn to cook and he's good at light filling meals.I'm taking the front door draught-proof curtain down today to give it the wash it so richly needs after going though the whole winter of the dog shaking all over it and treading on it with muddy paws. It's filthy! So, WM x 1 now.Better is good enough.9

Great day for door curtain drying, Honey Bear!
I have (carefully and with rests) got all my ironing done. So it's now airing either on a maiden or hanging from a curtain rail. I also (very gently) pulled up a few weeds. I did some watering and realised the 'holes' were missing from the spout of the new watering can but correctly figured out it probably dropped into the camellia. So it's been retrieved and re-attached to the rest of the spout.
DW emptied, WUALTD the few bits that were there plus some recycling and the cat's plates.
Not eaten yet (v. poor appetite; I'm reaping the benefits on the scales though) so I think I'll have an early lunch.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

White rabbits and all that..I went to bed early with a migraine.. definitely hormone related, I have been keeping a record.. and this is the 5th migraine following AF in as many months.. joy! I guess this is life for the next 10-15 years..It's still not really any better this morning but I am up, drugged the head, had my usual apple for breakfast and fed the fluffers.
Girls washing is in the machine but not a full load yet.Squeak poked into the shower before she starts attracting flies.
Bins brought in.. OH has to pick up everything off the floor to put in them because it hurts too much to bend down.Money shuffled to deal with both of us being overdrawn.. he gets paid Friday and I had my usual 1st of the month stuff coming out so my utility bill money went on that and I have another DD for £10 coming out tomorrow. OH needs £15 transferring over so I will scrape that together from somewhere no doubt. My arms still hurt from strimming the garden but the blister is going down.Tuesdailies..Litter trays need scooping
DW need fillingRecycling outremake DS1's bed.
Raise seat on Squeaks bike and pop it along to the bike shop at the end of the street to have the brakes properly fixed.. unless OH has some pliers which work.
finish reshuffling the back room once the fresh Hazel deposit has been dealt with... I had left the carpet clear to dry after I washed it.. now it need washing again! GgrrrI will do some knitting if my head allows.. it is a new pattern and I'm not sure I can concentrate well enough to do it.oooh... I might find stuff to do a tip run... *FLING*LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)9 -
Hello, I lost the last two days to meeting with friends and family and meeting DGD for the first time so all good.
Today, I have cleaned the bathroom, done the dailies, caught up with washing, watered the garden, walked dogs and done shredding but not in that order. Have also spent a couple of hours jus5 being in the shade in the garden.
Can hear that DH is home so I'll catch up with you all tomorrow.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
I did remember the white rabbits this morning and then promptly forgot to post. I was in the WAC yet again, heard the birds start and the milkman come, missed the online baking session though 😉
Took DD to small town to get her hair cut and left her there to have a rummage through the cs. I did a quick shop in Mr W, got a free parking space outside the door and ys things off my list to boot. Very mse. A friend came for coffee in the garden, which effectively saw my morning disappear. I now have a frustrating list of not done jobs. I spent a bit of time in the garden (hot) and in the gh (hotter). Tomato babies are planted and have had a stiff talking to. They seem to be ignoring me. New NDN has performed a chainsaw massacre of the beautiful clematis that grew between our gardens. I now have dead wood as a view which upsets me, and when I cut that back (waiting for the blackbirds to give up their nest first), I will have a view of his broken fence and the road instead of seclusion. I need to figure out how to sort that.
DD is here with her bf - not used to this, DH is prowling the house in between phone calls.
Just having a quick cuppa, then I think I will shower and hairwash so that I’m not tempted back outside until it is cooler.Oh yes, flying. 1 load of washing done and dried. Definitely need to start the scaling of Mount Ironmore.8 -
Sitting waiting for the phone to ring for my 3:30 apt. No doubt my mum will phone shortly to find out what's been said...and I'll miss it.

I have six mitten shaped dusters and six fewer small oblong dusters. I've also checked and fixed the tension problem on the overlocker that I am too frightened to use, having bought it in Lid! in October 2019, played around with it, discovered the need to thread it (not a good idea) and shelved it since. Over the bank holiday weekend I booked myself on to a 'Make the Most of Your Overlocker' course in July, the first requirement of which was that it had to be in good working order, so it now is.I have a Room of Doom, a situation I've been in denial about for at least six months. It's one of the letting rooms which I've been piling stuff up in for over a year and am now defeated just walking in there. I've started on the easy stuff but it's going to be challenging to clear it. Ideally I'd like it done by the end of the week but that may be a tad optimistic. F'book Marketplace will be involved.Better is good enough.9

We've had a day of highs and lows. I woke up at 5.00 as usual and waited until 7.00 to video call DS2, who looked dreadfully ill and said he felt worse than yesterday. I said I thought I ought to go over there, but he said no, go out for the day as arranged with DD and DGS1+2 (meeting at Blenheim Palace, 100 miles in the opposite direction from DS2). I rang DD to say I was really worried about him; she rang their dad to ask if he could go and help DS2 immediately; exH lives much closer than any other member of the family but did not drop everything and go. DS2 still insisted that I should not think of cancelling the meet with DD. He booked another telephone consultation with his GP, had to wait until 10.15 for the call back, and she said he ought to be improving by now and to ring 999. He then had to wait another hour for the ambulance to arrive and take him to horse piddle. He had also told his wife not to come home early but to let the boys enjoy their holiday, and I gather his parents in law hadn't arrived by the time he left home. It can't have been a pleasant experience for him, with giddiness and nausea thrown inHe has had a CT scan to check for a stroke (fortunately a negative result) but has been admitted overnight (at least) for the medics to try to find the root cause of the labyrinthitis or whatever it is. At least he is in a safe place tonight, with people looking after him.
We did have a lovely day with DD & her boys. DGS1 greeted me with "Granny, you've shrunk!" He is now almost half a head taller than me, and DGS2 isn't far behind! I got hugs from all three of themRosie had her first ride in a golf buggy (transporting us from the car park to the palace), and after lunch, while DH sat in the shade and rested, she enjoyed a brisk walk with the rest of us to the monument . The journey home was punctuated with messages from DS2, and as i was driving DH read hem out and just sent a thumbs up in reply. Since arriving home I have had a text conversation with DS2 and now need to speak to DDiL to find out what help she needs tomorrow and where to find clean clothes for DS2 to take to the horse piddle if they'll allow me to hand them in on the ward.
I shall go to bed early tonight as I'm shattered after all the driving and will need to recoup some more energy for tomorrow.
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, and apologies if I haven't mentioned you by name, but there are so many Flyladies in need atm xxx11
