Work's been crazy today and will be for the rest of the week. I managed to get the laundry out on the line during my lunch break and walked to the post office to send the clothes I sold yesterday.
The bidding for another pair of jeans ended and they sold for more than I expected. I almost want to go to charity shops and see if I can find any high waist size 10s
I'll have to go back to the post office tomorrow and I might drive into town. The lady in my local office is nice but always tired and she always makes me feel like she is making me a favour for taking my parcels. Today she explained that I need to recalibrate my scales or weigh the sticky tape to make sure I declare the correct weight. I was 1 gram over
I got a quote for the car from one shop, I called the other and they said they will send it today. They haven't... I will give them another chance tomorrow, mainly because they have an automatic courtesy car, the other shop only has manuals.
Just got the muffins out of the oven, didn't get to it that much today so I feel like I can have a few before bed. Yum!01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

Post office lady was in a very good mood today, I made sure to add a healthy margin when weighing my parcels.
Work kept me busy, I only managed to take a short lunch break (went to the post office) and pick up my little one after school. I've been sitting all day, my bum is completely flat 😆
Watered some plants in the garden tonight. I have two dwarf apple trees from Lidl, bought last year, they are full of tiny apples, I can't believe how many there are! I also have a cherry tree but that one doesn't look like it's going to give us any fruit this year.
I need to water the house plants tomorrow.
I have listed some more items on ebay, I don't have any bids ending soon so I'll give the post office lady a break.01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

When I worked in a farm nursery, they would cull some of the baby apples so that the rest could grow larger. Eve

I'd love some fruit tree's but I think any fruit would go to waste 😥Credit Cards NOV 2019 £33,220.42 Sept 2023 £19,951.00 Tilly Tidy 20223/COLOR] Sept £43.71 Here's my diary: A Ditherer's Diary Again1

@evebeme that makes sense, I might do it as I can't see how a tree so small could have so much fruit. They're quite different in size so I'll cull the tiny ones. Sigh... goodbye little apples.
@Naomim my boys eat less and less fruit, I used to buy some twice a week but the fruit bowls don't get empty as quickly anymore. I think I need to buy less crisps 😆
I had to go the post office again today, two of my Buy Now items sold. I was completely off with my parcels' weight, not sure what went wrong. The lady lent me a 200g weight so I can check my scales. She is nice, I knew it! 😊

What a great day we had yesterday. Had some neighbours in for a bbq, they have 2 boys - one in the same year as our oldest, the other one slightly older than our youngest. The sun was shining, the boys played outside most of the day, it's much easier to get them out when they have other childre to play with. They went in the hot tub like it was a paddling pool 🤦♀️. The water needed changing anyway and it was the perfect weather for splashing.
In the evening we visited other neighbours who have 2 girls. DS1 can't take too much of them so we sent him home early 😅. We were there until almost 10pm, my little one fell asleep as soon as we got home. He got in bed while I was getting the other one ready and fell asleep by the time I went back to him. We haven't met with other people in so long, it was a good day even for hermit me. I can't remember last time the boys had so much offline play.
Today we're visiting a friend of DS2. There will be a third boy there which they haven't seen for months, a paddling pool and the mums are nice. I might need a couple of hours of me time before bed to recover after so much socialising.
Money wise I'm expecting the payout for car repairs, they said they will sort it over the weekend so looking forward to checking my account in the morning. I've sold a few more things from the auction lot. Two of them I sold to my husband 🤣 not sure it counts but I decided to take the money now and might give some back once I cover the initial costs. I'm at 31% now but lots of items left so I'm keeping optimistic.

Dear diary,
Today I have become an activewear mum.
Yeah, so the school drop off arrangements changed and I now have 45 minutes for myself before I start work. I decided to get back into exercising. Last year I did PE with Joe Wicks and DS1 during the first lockdown and kept working out most days until we had a week off at the seaside, I couldn't get back into it after that. So this morning I put my running shoes on, dropped DS2 at school and had a 15 minute intense run and I feel great. I had time for a shower before work, turned the water cold for the last 20 seconds and now I feel ready to take on EVERTHING.
First thing on my list sort out the car repairs. I sent the quote to the other party and they said they wanted to pay the garage themselves to recover the vat. I've never done this before, I assume the shop can invoice them directly? No idea, I will call and ask.
Then I need to raid all my pots to pay for a one week activity camp in August for DS2. One of his friends is going and I think he will love it. We're not having a holiday this year so best he doesn't watch tv all summer long. DS1 went there for two weeks a couple of years back, paid on credit card like so many other activities he did while I was on manternity pay
I'm donating blood next week, need to look up some iron rich recipes. Last two times they sent me home because my iron was too low, last time they actually banned me for a year. One time my iron was ok but the blood wasn't coming out fast enough. Fingers crossed all good this time!01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0
