WinterWarrior said:Hello, thanks for the mention...I get so many emails from my bookmarked follows I sometimes miss things in the crowd! I hope my diary wasn’t too boring, I know I waffle 😬
lovely to catch up on your diary and I am following you now. You seem to have it all together already! Well done on sticking to your budget and having money left over. I had a lot of false starts with that and still haven’t quite mastered it!
I've started reading here and planning almost 6 months ago, but only in the last couple of months I feel like I was getting somewhere. Getting all cards on 0% helped a lot and then updating my spreadsheet to give every pound a job. This has actually been the first month I had any money left. You’ve done brilliantly! I also had some left, but not as much as I should have done 😖 onwards and upwards! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I've just redeemed my third £5 Amazon voucher from LifePoints panel. I joined less than two weeks ago, really good rewards. 👍
It didn't take me long to spend most of it, I had a new Orchard board game in my basket and the timing was perfect with half term next week.01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

I'm going to have a look at the snowball calculator. I've been debt busting for a few years and still dont have anything left at the end of the month 🤦♀️
I'm going to look at the life panels. Although had so little time recently to do anything.
I loved the Orchard board games. DD is 11 and would still play them given half a chance!

We loved the orchard game, we were all entertained. The little one is just starting to read and he's doing very well, he could read most of the tasks himself but some had to be kept quiet and he can't master reading without sounding it out yet
I've been reckless adventurous with my finances this last weekend. I have read in a couple of other diaries here about an auction site, I visted it and found a nice sofa that could replace the one we have - which is in very good condition, I just don't like it at all. So while I was there I bid on other bits and pieces, thinking I'm in for a bargain and I could sell them for profit. I've never been good at selling and I normally don't rush into things, not sure what got into me. Anyway, some parts have been delivered and there's good and bad - I had to put some things in the bin, but others have sold already for pofit. I have decimated my EF for this, fingers crossed I manage to get most of it back. I'm not really anxious but this has made me feel very uncomfortable this week, arranging delivery was stressful as well. Worst case I get a new sofa and I can pretend I paid full price in a shop, even though I didn't really need one. It is being delivered today, I really hope there will be no more unpleasant surprises.
To end this on a positive note, this month I have paid 2.9% of my debt. I still have a small payment to make after the statement is ready so it will get to 3%.01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

Thanks @VadersDad
I'm not great at keeping this updated. I spend a lot of time on the forum reading other diaries, but usually on my phone and I don't particularly like typing on the small screen. Lots of lurking, not a lot of commenting
Last week was the worst week in living memory. Work super busy, a lot of stress with the auction lot and then to top it all off someone scratched my car while it was parked in town. They were good and left a note but still, that was the last thing I needed. I cried
But anyway, new day, new week, new half term. I like getting back to a routine in the morning but I also enjoyed not having to get the boys ready and off to school last week, so much time to do other stuff before work.
I sold a couple of the pricey items from the auction lot this weekend, so I'm starting to feel better about it all. Plan for today:
- send large parcel with DPD - label printed and glued to the box, now to wait for mr postman
- I sold a pair of sandals and a piece of fabric this weekend as well, these were from my private collection. They're packed and labelled, I need to drop them at the post office.
- go to bodyshopto get quote for scratch repair and send it to the other party
- I have a mistery shopping task booked in for today, I need to read the 'script' before going there at lunch
- pick up boys from school. I normally pick up one and hubs the other one as they come out different gates at different times, but sometimes I need to do both on a Monday. Timings work but it just takes longer overall which affects the next point on the list:
- do some work for my employer- theis week is looking very busy again.
Now off to school with the little one!01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

I managed to do everything on my list yesterday, by 6pm I was knackered.
List for today:
- go to post office to send two more items that sold yesterday, they're both packed and labelled
- follow up with the two bodyshops if they don't send the quotes this morning
- bake some banana bread/muffins, I have 4 veeeery ripe babanas which will go to the bin unless I use them today
- list some more auction items, I only have about a million left
- work
£29 left in my weekly spending budget, new week starts tomorrow and I think I will top it up with only £50 and see how it goes. I really need to cover the EF money I spent on the auction, and selling everything might take a while.
Off to school now, have a lovely day everyone!01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0
