I did buy the nipplette for £30 when I was bf as I too suffer from flat nipples. It didnt work for me (though me and hubby had some giggles trying to get it to work !!!). I think its best if you try it when you are pregnant so your nipples are ' ready ' when baby is here.

I did sell mine on ebay for about £15.

i'm not not at all qualified to help here... but as a MSE suggestion keep the reciept, if it doesn't work then go back and moan that the product is useless and get your money back  . I bet thats too obvious an answer, but its the first thing that popped into my head
I never missed a payment :T , I paid off all my credit cards :T , I paid of all my loans :T , i have a work mobile :T - but am now "medium" credit risk
  • hi all,

our DD is now 9 months old.
she sleeps in the bed with me and OH

ever since she was born she was very demanding in terms of feeding/suckling at night. she is still suckling all night. as soon as OH puts her on the side of the bed trying to be very quiet within a few mins she starts crying and screaming.

she sleeps during the day without suckling and is now eating alot of solids, its just a problem at night.

also im getting fed up now lol coz im now gagging for it...

from 4 times a night its gone down to 2 times a month!!!

anyone had same issue, any ideas?

also coz i live in a council house the neighbours always nock on the door at any slight noise so leaving her to cry will cause hassle with the neighbours.

and one other thing she hates bottles/dummies

sounds to me as if she is craving your attention in the night because she is used to it.
the only thing i can suggest is putting her in her own room and yes leave her to cry,but do that pick up put down method.
Put her in her own cot in her own room, stand close to the cot, when she starts to cry leave her for a little while then pick her up and comfort her, when she stops put her back down and move a few little steps away from the cot each time.I saw this on supernanny and it takes a lot of work and a few sleepless night but well worth it if you can get back to you and OH's 4 times a night    lucky you :rotfl: :rotfl:
babies cry and you'r neighbours should understand this.
    hth a little

  • I havnt got any advice really, but I was wondering whether you are entitled to a hardship grant (I think it's called that) to pay for a cot and bedding? Also, surely if you are in a council house you should be entitled to 2 bedrooms with a baby? Might be worth looking into.

Well done for breastfeeding btw, best for both of you and best for your wallet too!

You have to set your priorities. Ask on freecycyle for a cot or travel cot and bedding (it doesn't have to be fancy), talk to your neighbours and explain there will be a week of crying but ask them to be patient, get your husband to agree to support you totally - it will take both of you to do this - and set aside 5 days and nights in a row where you will allow your baby to cry herself to sleep going in at 5 minute intervals, but do not take her out of the cot.

It will be hard - I know i have done it twice! You will be crying too but your baby is safe in a cot and will not come to any harm. It doesn't mean you can't bring her into bed in the morning and give her a feed or a cuddle, but after 9 months you and your husband need your own space...

Both my kids have brilliant sleep patterns and have gone to bed with no problems since they were about 6 months by using this method. They cetainly don't hold it against me anyway!
