Hello all
woken up to bight sunshine. It is bin day but we will have missed the collection, there's only two small bags in there though, so I didn't see the point. So today I hope to get my bed stripped and sit in the garden. I will try to ignore the length of the grass.
Ive put my dressing gown in the WM, as I want to get rid of that hospital smell. It is not the hospital smell of my childhood - and hospital then was a playground (for us) and place of work (for mum) and held no fear.
will run WM tonightDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear9 -
Morning all,
More GWS wishes to Valli. Glad you are diagnosed and home xx
Belated thanks to Pigpen for jumping in. Wonders won’t cease - I have just done a Level 3 from today’s list by stripping the bed.
ASB - just 2 more days, hang in there, lovely x
It’s a beautiful sunny day today. I need to go out and show a bit of interest in the greenhouse later, which is neglected as nothing is growing well at all.The geraniums might manage to flower in a couple of years time, they are so small.
I have a reminder to book a mammogram. As it is on the list for today, I may actually just get on and phone for an appointment.
Wm is on, bedding will hang outside , bathrooms all need cleaning. Dreaded hospital call this afternoon with DD. Maybe cuppa 2 calls first.
Have a lovely day all x10 -
Valli.. so pleased you are home and feeling much better.. tomorrows list is already built so don't worry about that, I have it covered... pneumonia is nasty.. DD1 and Squeak had it a few times as smalls. DD1 has permanent lung scarring and everything goes straight to her chest and was made much worse when she had whooping cough at 17 which she promptly gave to the very newborn Spamalam so he too has scarring to his lungs and oesophagus. Anyway.. glad you are on the mend.. now get lots of rest and kitten cuddles!
ASB... sunshine often helps with eczema.. see if you can find 5 minutes of sunshine times to replenish thse Vit D stores. We need about 30 minutes in the daylight this time of year each day. And woot for getting ahead on the list.. mabe I just knew!! lol
Beasties all out..
Dot has had a very 'Dot' morning and had to be stuffed in clothes and they all just float about like feathers while I dash about like a loon.
The front room is trashed there are pj's everywhere.. and OH had a pizza last night after work so the board for that is inthe middle of the floor.
Sausage casserole tonight.. unless someone ate all the sausages.. which is what usually happens!
I was going to hang out washing but it is clouding over already..
Kitchen is desperate for a good scrub. I may have OH on with it.. my hip and knee are way too painful to contemplate any of it.

Thank you pigpen - Level 1 completed:
- S&S'd kitchen
- rang surgery at 8.00, hung on until 8.45 for the call to be answered, but telephone appointment grantedNice doctor phoned me at 9.27!!! 2nd opinion given, concurs with the first, but she wants to do further tests. Rang again at 9.53 to say "Can you come in for an ECG at 12?" Of course.
DH is ready to go to his farrier (=chiropodist) at 11.15 .
I have stripped DH's bed and started WMx1 of 3, which I should be able to hang out before I go to the surgery.
Will be thinking of you all this afternoon, Fayolle - enormous (((hugs))) and coping vibes xxx
Enjoy your meadow, Valli x

If you put a spray in my hand, I can be lethal… bathroom, ensuite (minging, we are all using this atm as it has an easy access shower) and downstairs toilet (only DH uses, say no more) cleaned. Bannisters wiped, ditto door handles. Kitchen bin emptied from overflowing and bin cleaned. I refuse to do the recycling as bins etc are DH’s job, but he seems to have “forgotten” that.
Rhubarb chopped ready to make rhubarb and ginger jam tomorrow or Saturday. Enough to make more, as well as chutney and crumbles. Having hm jam and pickles etc livened up our boring lockdown meals, as well as being mse *inserts old Martin emoji here*.GH watered, for what it’s worth. Full of bolting lettuce and teeny tiny tomato plants.
Now I ought to run the vacuum cleaner around upstairs, but DH is on a call and DD is lounging in bed. To be fair, there isn’t much else she can do, and I am using it as a Not Turning the Vacuum Cleaner On excuse!
Well done for getting seen today, Iona. Thinking of you x
Thinking of Kaz too, if she is reading along x10 -
ionafan said:I spent most of yesterday looking at gas and bills (for the church - not mine!) and today I must deal with the electric. But the sun is shining and I am determined to get out with DH this afternoon if at all possible.
Glad to hear Valli has a diagnosis and is back home.

Welcome home Valli, and yet more *healing vibes* heading your way.(((Hugs))) Fayolle.Things tidied here, four loads of washing folded and put away from yesterday. I should put another three loads on to clear the backlog but I'm having the rest of the day to myself for crochet having spent the morning back at the Foodbank after a few months of working at home on my own. I was there to clear this week's paperwork and train someone to do the rest of the work I cover but she's someone who yaks continuously and doesn't listen or concentrate. I was so frustrated I found tears rolling down my face at one point, something that I can honestly say is a completely new experience in those circumstances. She managed to do so little work I'm going to have to go through the same level of frustration again next week, but after that I have refused to work with her again. It's all very well people volunteering because they're lonely, but the work needs doing. I was so wound up I came home and ate a HUGE slice of the Victoria cream sponge I made yesterday. I need more practice at making cakes.Better is good enough.7
