Morning, am up and about but in pj's and catching up with Made in Chelsea while David out walking the mutt 😁Not sure what today will bring..I'm still feeling odd after last Wednesday's 2nd Covid jab so I don't think I'll push myself today. I do have a box to pack from a kitchen cupboard, plus take about 5 boxes to the storage place. I've got to hoover downstairs and the stairs today, did the upstairs rooms and landing yesterday with the Dyson. Normally use the Henry but thought I would use the Dyson and I was horrified at how much it picked up..scary!!!!Have to post my PIP form today, Dave forgot it yesterday..lol Then it's a waiting game 🥺Had a 2½ pounds loss at SW yesterday which pleased me 😁 Especially as I went off plan big times couple of days 😂Having a homemade lamb curry with curry potatoes - all very slimming and from the slimming recipe book (The Slimming Foodie) I'm addicted to at the moment.. so shall go off and marinate the lamb now.Hoping it brightens up as I have washing that I want to hang on the line..it better as this washing has been waiting for ages and I had to rewash it..lol Don't ask why it was left...lolHugs and spoons xxxMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Back from the vet. We had to drive to another town (about 12 miles). Saw the cardiologist and expressed my concerns. The upshot is we decided against the scan. There was a breakdown in communication as well,as I didn't realise that he would be there all day! He is back home now and snoozing on the new rug (which the cat has already tried to ruin!! 🤬)
DH is building a bedside cabinet. I have hung out the bedding. We need to do a food shop as we have run out of milk and other bits.
Mower battery is on charge - I will test it in the garden first, and do the allotment at the weekend.
Ok - lunch next. And WU & emptying DW.
I'm glad to hear Valli is feeling a bit better & is being looked after. Thanks for the update Pigpen10 -
Thank you so much for the update about Valli, Piggers. More *healing vibes* heading Valli's way.An 'interesting' morning here. Layla was due another blood test this morning but the car was completely dead when I tried to unlock it. The battery is as flat as a pancake, and as it was me that last drove it to the dentist yesterday I'm very worried I've killed it. The RAC chappie is currently doing open heart surgery on it with Beloveéd standing by to 'assist.' If it's my bad I'm going to be in trouble.Timing. Belovéd said the lovely RAC man thinks it's the CD player (ooops) and that the battery now needs a proper recharge which would cost a few £££s, but that at seven years old it'll need replacing in six months time max anyway, and he's got one with him. Him replacing it is £15 cheaper than our local garage, so that job is being done as I type. And it means Belovéd will have the car for his 2.00 pm appointment and can also drive himself to cricket this evening. Result! *relief*In fairness to moi, Belovéd really should have washed the litter trays out last weekend, because Twiglet simply couldn't bring herself to pee in either of them this morning, but could do so on the basket of freshly washed laundry, which was ready to be pegged out. *relief* twice over - that he's dropped one at the same time as I have, and that she chose the wet laundry over any of the beds.I am going to defrost the kitchen freezer in penance for my bad, and also because it needs it and I've managed to empty one of them completely ready to go to the tip but have saved it for just this very job, so thanks for putting on today's list, Piggers.Better is good enough.8

Hi all
Tricky day at the paid stuff, tired now. DS1 has come for tea and is staying over, nice to have someone to fuss over. Chicken pie made, quick hoover, clean washing put away.
It's our 25th wedding anniversary in August so I have booked a weekend away for us, the boys, and their GFs. It's a bit of an extravagance but I dont care, I want us all to celebrate together.
Hope everyone is OK, I have read your posts but the brain has not retained anything.10 -
Hello all. I'm home...and in the WAC. I've still got meds to take and need to rest. Not sure if I said but the diagnosis was pneumonia. I am proud to say that the cleaner had almost completed cleaning the bed I was asleep in in the morning before I woke up! I am shattered. Wide awake now though.
But the main thing is to say thank you so much for all your good wishes, very much appreciated.

Glad to hear you are home Valli, rest and take care of yourself xx
The presentation for work yesterday went ok after all, glad it’s out of the way. Flying was limited to wm x 1 and the dailies, I did do a freezer inventory and a meal plan for the next 10 days so can tick that off the list.Lots of paid stuff to get through today, another early meeting so will get that done and then take a breakfast break to check today’s list and see what I can get done.
take care all, back later x9 -
Morning all. Glad you're home Valli.
About to start the paid stuff but I am actually planning to fly later. Bed is made.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Knowing what DH is like when he gets pneumonia, I am so glad that you went to hospital, got treatment and have recovered enough to be back home already, Valli xx Typical teacher, getting ill just before half term, with a week's holiday in which to recover! Take it easy and rest up as much as you can. I will do a bit of extra flying today to make up for you being unable to - very sorry I'm too far away to pop round and do it at your house
I will do what I can off the list today, especially the first item. I have set an alarm for 7.55, ready to ring as soon as the surgery opens.
Yesterday I managed to bin a pair of walking shoes whose inner had collapsed under the heels (I walk very badly) and 4 ancient plastic chopping boards that wouldn't come clean in the DW, and I took 2 tins of borlotti beans (which I now find give me indigestion) to the food bank collection point. That's 8/10 gone, but I also put two more things in the CS donations box, ready to leave the house on 18th June.
I spent most of yesterday looking at gas and bills (for the church - not mine!) and today I must deal with the electric. But the sun is shining and I am determined to get out with DH this afternoon if at all possible.
Hope everyone has a good day xx9 -
Morning all,
GWS wishes to you Valli xx
I cannot WAIT for school to finish tomorrow. I have a UTI and my eczema has flared up around my eyes, both are the tell tale signs I am running on empty. I intend to sleep, a lot, this weekend whilst the children are with grandparents. The WM is going and will be hung out before work. The forecast is lovely here today. Take care all x11
