Get well soon, Valli x
The LR needs hoovering, so today's list is ideal. However, my study looks worse now than it did this time yesterday morning, so the first job must be to sort the paperwork and file it all away neatly, as well as saving files from email to my computer. I also need to label the Treasurer's ring binders.
My eBay account closure is completed - one more loose thread tied up.
Someone is coming sometime today to pick up a tall CD rack, fer-ling!
Following round's shining example, I have begun sorting woolly hats and gloves and will wash a load of them (yes, I've got enough for a full load), more fer-ling!
I must email DDiL2 to find out what DS2 wants for his birthday and arrange to go and see them.
It's going to be bitty jobs today. Hopefully they'll MAD.
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed xx9 -
Me again
meeting done, had a quick walk around the block for some fresh air, brekkie eaten. DH unloaded the DW. Wm x 1 run and on the airer as weather is still murky, litter trays refreshed, hoovered through ground floor, windows open in bedrooms, will air out the room and then make the bed in a bit.
Righto, I have back to back meetings pretty much all day today, not sure when I’m going to get any actual work done lol. DH has just brought me a cuppa so I’m going to swig that and get back to it.
have a good day x9 -
I've just googled flu symptoms...tick tick tick..,reminded me about my boss little Jimmy who would ring in sick "with flu" and have 1 day off. I had a flu jab though.
Anyway I can't fly so you'll all have to. *cracks whip* but go steady with the vacuum as I languish in bed drifting in and out of sleep.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning
GWS wishes to Valli x
It’s my day off from paid stuff and I really cba. I have set the laptop up as paperwork might be the way to go. Otherwise, level 1 of today’s list might be the best I do, and that’s mainly because I can tick a couple of the jobs off already.
On the plus side, I made a cuppa and took it back to bed with my book. 2nd cuppa slurped, reading book downstairs. This isn’t boding at all well…..!
I have promised to take DD out today as she is going stir crazy being stuck in her room for days on end. We are, apparently, going to buy a houseplant, which she will proceed to slowly kill. Such is the excitement in our lives.
Have a lovely day all x9 -
Morning all. Get well soon Valli.
Today it is pouring with rain so the dogs haven't been walked yet but I have hoovered and mopped through and done most of the dailies, done an online art class and become a granny.
I hope you all have a great day too.Spend less now, work less later.11 -

*puts on total nerd hat*.. feel free to skip..Flu jab means very little.. it covers very few of the 166 different flu viruses and isn't massively effective either so should not be ruled out as a possibility, estimated to prevent 500-600 UK deaths annually (.gov).. usually 4 types of flu are included each year.. it usually covers 2 specific A strains (H1N1 and H3N2.. avian and human origins, slightly different variants depending on manufacturer) plus a specific B strain, Victoria strain this year. This is one of the weird things I research annually like a total wierdo.. but only the most common variants are included and it is based on a guess, they run in cycles so it is possible to make a fairly accurate guess.. You have been very lucky and caught a sneaky one, I bet you feel it! I hope you're better soon.. (try the Vit C powders from 'gym bunny' section (ascorbic acid is cheaper) and does not have the 'predicted effect'!!! I believe it is zinc which helps too. Bizarrely one of the first things used to treat C19 in China was x10 strength Vit C infusions then zinc was added then the cheapest steroid medications. (more trivia). I LOVE the CDC website!!
*puts away nerd hat away for a bit*.I had flu once when I was 15 and was ill 3 weeks.. I even had 2 days off school..I shall protect your sleep... and make someone else vacuum up the spilled cat litter OH did not clean up while doing the trays yesterday.. ggrrr
Squeak isn't going to learn anything useful from me is she? lol.. I only know trivia and research random information based on a whim.. I need to start making some plans. I have inquired about some help for her anxiety, she needs strategies to help deal with them.
I am now thinking of asking people to send her rocks from their part of the world.. we have friends in Australia and Lanzarote and all over Europe and China, Squeak loves rocks. We aren't going anywhere.. but.. she needs the rocks.. desert rocks and volcanic rock and all the rocks.. is that utterly silly? She has a collection of UK rocks complete with fossils.. ooh.. moon rocks.. and meteors.. and Libyan desert glass....
Blue bins emptied.. WOOT!!
Todailies..
oh.. it's my wedding anniversary in 3 days... anyway..
Tip run with more wood and garden garbage.. *glares at OH*
DS2's cast offs can be taken too.
Fridge could do with a clear out so I may do that.
Cats need their breakfast
I have still only done 4 of the kallax drawers.. I shall do 2 more today.. They shouldn't take long and keeping with the theme contain hats and the like.
I want to sort the binbag of stuff OH cast off too.. a lot can go in the rag bin and some can be ebeasted and DS1 might want some.. and CS can have the rest..
First.. clothes and then OH's binbag..
HUUUUGE congratulations to the Jazee family!!! Tell us more, we like all the deets! xx I hope babe and mama are well x

Valli I hope you are feeling better very soon. I assume you have had a -ve CV test?
DH & DS are off this week. We decluttered lots of £££ at the big Swedish store yesterday, so they have some building to do! 🤣 A large CoD to put DS's clothes in (they are currently all in a basket in our room because he has no room in his BR!!) When he moves into DD2's room we will use the CoD for ourselves. We also bought a blind for the bathroom (which they are putting up now) and a rug for the LR.
DH has walked the dog. I have vac'd the LR & put on the DW. Paid stuff today so I have been playing with colours & reading board books!
I am going to have a little moan....
I have been trying really hard to sort my stuff and keep things tidy. It is very disheartening when I go to bed & find DH's stuff migrating to my (tidy) side 😭🤬 Also, DD2 & BF are here for the week, so there are 5 adults here - so much more mess! Despite us all being adults and capable of putting stuff away!! There is definitely less mess with only 3 of us.
We celebrated DD2's birthday yesterday, which included a visit from my mum & DD1 (plus pup) Chaos! But a lovely evening full of laughter 🥰😁
Hugs to those that need them, including absent FL that may be lurking. Have a good day everyone!10 -
GI.. welcome to my messy world!!! lol.Glad you had a lovely family time thoughI got the binbag sorted,We did a tip run.. put the rags in the rag bin and got rid of another car load from the garden. *fling*
DW filled with pans again.WM on with a large furry cushion *someone* (looks at Nutkin) has wee'd on.I have 2 pairs of trousers to strip off buttons and a button to sew on some shorts. I sorted a small pile to throw at ebeast.. *FLING*
Food is scoffed and having a cuppa before cracking on with the next round of flingage. Ooh... I will get those kallax boxes while I'm sat here looking regal..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8 -
(((hugs))) YL. You'll soon get back into the swing of it if you used to enjoy it.*Healing vibes* Valli. There's no vacuuming here - so you can sleep. It's a huge sacrifice, obviously.Dentist visited, gloop smeared on recalcitrant tooth and useful advice received. I'm so, so tired of this tooth. I found a CS that would accept 'one small bag' of donations while in that town so I picked out the best stuff for them from the boxes on the back seat. Donating this carload may take some time. Now working on the wretched huge file that's been sitting on the side, all malevolently, for some weeks. This may take also some time.Better is good enough.9

Why does it ALWAYS rain at school run time??? We are therefore taking the grandbeasts home too so DD1+ 4 don't have to get drippy.I've ignored the kallax's... I don't want to do them... not even one..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)7
