Congratulations Jazee xx
Hope you are feeling better soon Valli xx
Drama at work this morning as colleague received a phone call to say that her DS had tried to commit suicide. We already have a colleague whose son hung himself earlier this year. DS has been reminded that he can come to me day or night if he needs to - nothing is more important than he is.
I've taken my vegetable rack over to DS's Dad's- fer-ling. Bottle bag with perished handle binned. Gift bag taken from stash to hold birthday presents for a friend.
Love to all

Shocking news for your colleague Round x
2 car loads to charity shop, some from here & the rest from DG’s
4 hours of sorting done
stairlift removal requested
skip hire enquiries made
bst friend thinks moving to DG’s would be a money pit and not a new start
birdie’s and squirrels fed
hope to not visit the club room tonight as have to be up at 6am to take DH to work so I can have the car during the day.
Congratulations Jazzee, welcome to the world little one x10 -
Round.. what a horrible shock that must have been for her. We use a non-verbal language in here and now texts or gif's can replace a thousand words. My 2 oldest are struggling at the moment. Meem is finding it hard living in a less populated house.
DM.. I wouldn't be listening to friends or anyone.. you know what is best for you, and friends or family may have their own reasons for not wanting you to be elsewhere.. they might think they won't see you so much or that you will be too occupied (or skint) with renovations to spend time with them.. What you will gain from being there is what matters and only you know that.Squeak is wobbly at the moment too, I think the home educating thing is worrying her now, it's all new and until we get going she will be anxious about the unknown. We have been looking at the online learning website I am enrolling her on for maths and english and the tutors have videos introducing themselves which I thought would be nice for her.. we are having a go at everything and picking what she is interested in and going with those.
We have added dressmaking to Squeaks list of things to learn. I have several sewing machines and she would be so proud if she made herself something she could wear.. probably leopard print. lol.She wants a go at other crafts too. The mum of a friend of moomin does online art classes so we are definitely up for those. She wants to learn first aid as well now.. OH burned his arm at work on Sunday quite badly and I've dressed it so it is well covered, needs redoing in the morning tbh.. so that's a thing.
Wednesday wild and wacky list is up there.. it's a bit hotch-potch.. I thought a bit of variation and free choice would be fun.. we all have different things we leave out every week and my spy-ders aren't back yet! I think they got lost!!.. Or maybe washed away.
My breathing is a bit fluffy tonight..
Both WM's are on so hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow so I can hang that out.
I am off up to my nest where there is a mountain of clean stuff to fold and put away and a pile of ebeasty stuff to list.
Best go feed the fluffers first.

Morning all. No WAC posts, so I hope everyone slept well.
So sorry to hear about your colleague's son, round. It has shocked me into realising how very badly our young people have been affected by the events of the past year - and I thought I was already quite well aware. Loss of all hope is a terrible thing. How can we who live relatively easy lives offer hope to those who don't?
Thanks pigpen - those are just the sort of jobs that normally distract me from following the list! I wonder if today I might get distracted by steam mopping Rosie's muddy footprints off the vinyl flooring???
It's bin day, and I think the bin men might get a shock when they move ours. Normally it contains nothing but a couple of kitchen bin liners with a bit of food packaging....8 -
Checking in to send Valli some more get well soon vibes x
I have bagged some stuff for my tip run and put the wm load ready to go on as we leave.
Piggers I wonder if my friend is just trying to agree with my thoughts on that house.
Have a good peaceful day everyone. I will be flying at dancegran’s.9 -
Morning all
GWS Valli x Thanks for taking over the list Pigpen x
I managed some off list flying after work yesterday so pleased about that. Hoovered through my office, top landing and the spare room and DH did the stairs, fluffy cats then proceeded to have a fight and put fluff everywhere again, but it was nice for 10mins!Busy day of paid stuff awaits, I have a presentation to give today and have been awake for ages fretting about it, time to get moving and stop the whirly brain!
take care all, back later x9 -
Valli, I hope you are feeling better very soon x

Good morning!
Oodles of get well soon vibes heading over to Valli. Thanks for taking over the lists Pigpen.
Unexpected day off for me because the snotty siblings are being kept home today. So I am free to go to the vets with grumpy dog instead of sending DH on his own. Cardiologist today...
DW is on, bed stripped & swishing, food bin containing chicken carcass & stale bread put out for bin men.
CoD is made - it is huge! Next job is to replace 2 single wardrobes with bedside cabinets! I may need tardis technology! 🤣 I need to take the cardboard packaging to the allotment to be used there. That was going to be a Friday job, but I should manage it today now. I also plan to cut the grass with my new (to me) lawnmower - battery powered so it can be used at home & the allotment 😁
Have a good day everyone8 -
DM.. Are you having second thoughts about buying it? I would be reluctant to take on a house which needed a lot of work now, OH isn't at all practically minded and I physically struggle so much it would be unwise for us.
I have heard from Valli this morning, She has had lots of fluids and is feeling much better but can not get to the thread to update you herself. She is trying not to move to avoid coughing fits but is also hopefully getting a good rest and has people looking after her. xx
