I notice the radio ads for Aldi stresses there are no gimmicks referring to the app / vouchers. Where there is equivalence, the Lidl app means I am more inclined to shop there. The end of month and year reports were disproprtionately motivating!

I’ve looked at the Lidl app and it’s pretty much rubbish spend £200 to get a little tub of yoghurt free ? Eh ? Do me a favour.i don’t go to Aldi much because it’s a longer journey through town traffic but I’m going there more often now.

There might be bonus points offers etc in time which would make reaching those point thresholds not quite so hard.

I don't shop often enough at Lidl even to bother with the app. I've no interest in free bakery items. I tend to visit occasionally and stock up on the dishwasher items, cornichons and a few other favourites.

I'm a regular Aldi shopper and I'm happy with most of their prices and the increasingly frequent 30 or 50% reductions on things I can freeze.

Looking at the scheme, I think it's probably going to favour small rewards - 30 or 50 points here and there.

I regularly do a breakfast pitstop at a Lidl, so I quite often buy smaller bakery items.

fyi - my coupons are still live but will expire in the next couple of days.

think I'll just consider if their prices are better than the local Tesco. granted there are some things Lidl are just better at - like their baked goods and pizzas and coffee pods. I expect thought overall I'll be going there less.

Coupons and offers are remaining, just the monthly rewards are changing from set spend to points with bonus points on selected items / ranges - currently double points on fruit. Seems a bit pants though - old scheme spend £10 get a free cake so 50p to 75p reward, now a 10p reward - spend £50 and get a veg, I used to get a £4 bag of spuds, now get a 50p reward. Now effectively the same as Tesco.
