Lidls' Grapevine Cabernet Sauvignon is a very nice wine for  ..... £4.09!!! I'm no expert but I've had wine from a lot of different retailers and this is extremely drinkable. I was left a bottle in an AirBnB and couldn't believe it was such a cheapy from Lidl.
There are some things I cannot imagine developing a palate for and one is red wine.
Once upon a time I felt exactly the same way.  Over the years that changed, though, and there are very few whites I'd touch.
I used to like red wines from France, a lot. But in recent years many taste like liquid jam, so don't drink them at all now.

Don't know if it's everywhere but my Aldi seems to have more reductions than usual lately.

I was very lucky today with 50% off Scottish salmon fillets and skinny sausages plus 30% off a few other bits.

Be very careful with the discount offers in Aldi.
If you use the self scan checkouts the discount is not taken off automatically.
You have to summon a member of staff to manually take off the discount on each stickered product.

    Back to the Hidcote lavender.
I take cuttings in the autumn- generally the trimmings. Push them in any (old) potting soil in a clay pot, near the outer edge and then just leave over winter. Usually the majority root and you have new plants for free. If you want to have greater success make holes with dibber (or pencil) and drop fine sand into the hole. This encourages roots to form in the damp soil. If small weeds are in pot then even more likely to root.

Sorry, nothing to do with Aldi or Lidl!

Some years ago bought a nutri blend copy from Aldi- still going strong.
Also found  a large Aldi s.c- works fine and cost nowt!

Kent Online is reporting that an Aldi will be built on the site of the demolished Silver Spring factory in Folkestone. No time frame given though.

Local social media has reported a new Aldi being built to replace one in Poole.  Everybody in a tizzy as the road is already too busy and this is just going to add to the problem apparently.  Could be worse, could be a new Ikea!!
