Looks like he doesn't give much of a **** for conformity. I guess it won't be the last of his charges/fines/penalties dropping through your letterbox.

Have you spoken with the police?  I'm not sure what they can do, but in your shoes I'd be looking at all possible prospects of cutting loose from this.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Indeed, if the police are so inclined they can find the owner's address in seconds.

Did you fill in and send off sections 1-8 (the whole of the first sheet) to the DVLA, and fill in section 10 and give it to the new keeper? If so, then you did everything required of you.

It's always advisable of course to take a copy before you send it off, and to make out a receipt of sale and keep a copy.
I married my cousin. I had to...

Yes I did the first part but I didn't make a copy or make a receipt of sale. So basically have no proof.

OK so.. I sent V5C with all the details address name etc.
But you have said repeatedly that you do not know the new owners address so you did not do this did you?
You also posted on here a letter from the DVLA confirming you never informed them of his address, and they also confirmed that he has not registered the car with them:

It has also been ascertained that he has not taxed it (how could he he hasn't registered it) and it's not insured and the last paragraph I suspect means that if any real violations occur the police will be knocking on your door.
But it's OK DPD says the police have their crystal ball polished and your MP will be on your side so everything will be OK don't worry, I'm out.
