  • <--- Oooh, just noticed, I got my second star!!! :D

I've just sorted another couple of books out for Amazon, worth another £9.

Just about finished reading through the AQA documents now, reckon I've got my head around it all. I'm going to drop my SR an email and see when we can get an induction sorted...Can't wait!
  • Quidco has just "received" £20 from Jackpot Joy. After taking off their £5 fee, I should be receiving £15 shortly :D . This is going straight into the Canada pot. Hopefully some of the bigger ones will start paying out soon (showing February), so I can get my flights booked.

Good news today, I found an old savings account with £125 in it. :D:D:D This will probably be going straight into the apartment pot, as I've had to dip into it this week to pay my car insurance. Depending on how things go, I may put off moving until after the trip - as this will make my finances a lot less strained - we'll see. :)

On the flip side, I checked my Friends Provident Personal Pension online today, and it's value has fallen by about 30% :(

  • Thanks :)

    Another amazing day today. :D
Firstly, I received a letter from Polar Ford, in response to my threat of legal action - containing a cheque for the total amount. :D

But, more importantly, my manager has authorised my holiday request...
    I'm going to Canada!!! :D:D:D

Haven't quite got my head around it yet, I'm absolutely on top of the world.

Oh, and I've also had £24 track on Freefivers, and have had a response to my pigsback query about Foxy Bingo, confirming that I will receive my points.
  • Just had a quick look, and my pension fund has recovered a bit too. :)

Oh, and another book has sold on Amazon. I've got £19.42 in my Amazon account now!
  • What a day...Over half of my team were not in work today, for one reason or another! Still, we weren't at all busy, it started to drag from about 10am onwards! :rotfl:

I was so glad when it got to 5.30, and I could come home. :D

Got quite a bit to do tomorrow - 2 cheques to bank, 3 parcels to post, 1 parcel to collect from the sorting office (some bargain clothes from eBay) and the car needs a good clean too. Plus, I'm hoping to get my AQA induction sorted so that I can start earning some money. I'm also going to try and join the gym.

Sunday isn't going to be very productive, as I will be at the first rugby match of the season, albeit a friendly against Wigan :o

Going to be naughty now, and pop out for a takeway (my first since boxing day!) and then slob in front of the computer. Guess I'll have to join the gym now, to work it off

Glad you have had such a great start to the year mf, that is FAB.

Hope you enjoyed your takeaway, you deserve it!

Rugby? Waste of a day?! As if!!! Think of all the fresh air you'll be getting...

  • Thanks MP :D

The takeway was fabulous (Chicken in garlic, with rice :o )

I've managed to lay my hands on 2 free tickets to the match, meaning that me and my mate can have a free day out :D

Today was fairly productive - I got to the bank, PO, SO and car wash. I also spent some quality time with my family.

Don't seem to be making any progress with AQA though - my SR isn't responding to emails! She suggested a date for my induction, which unfortunately wouldn't be possible for me - and hasn't replied to any of the three emails I have sent her since.

On the gym side of things, I've signed up for our local 'health centre' online, so now all I need to do is motivate myself enough to get there and get something done . I weighed myself today, and to my absolute horror I have gained over three stone in the past year  A year ago I was what you might call 'lean', now I'm starting to resemble that large, pink guy who used to be friendly with Noel Edmunds :rotfl: So if that isn't enough to motivate me, nothing will (well, except the extortionate monthly fee I'm paying - which means I will be visiting every day I possibly can, to get my moneys worth).

Another challenge for me it would seem - lose 2 stone by the end of July! (Not sure I want to become as skinny as I once was again, as I can't afford a new wardrobe).

  • ...Oh b****r, and I'll need a passport too! (robbing sods, do you know how much a passport costs these days  )

I feel your pain, I had to renew mine in the autumn, and had to have a little sit down at the rise in prices since my last one!

  • Best of luck with the diet!
