Yep. Of course there's nothing to say they won't have excluded those transactions by next year.

Currently I am struggling to see the value of this account. It seems nowhere close to replacing a Tesco current account in regards to Tesco points collection. The blurb states you get 1 point per £ spent in Tesco as the card acts as your clubcard but with a Tesco debit card you get 2 points per £, 1 for the Clubcard and one for the debit card plus 2 points per £ for petrol.

Bizarrely Tesco Bank will pay you nothing for using your card in Tesco after the first 3 months, yet they will pay you 1 pt per £8 spent at any of their competitors.2

I use it because I might as well. I don't have any reward credit cards as I'm a student with no job. The points you get aren't a lot, but they are better than nothing.molerat said:Currently I am struggling to see the value of this account. The current account was clearly a loss leader arrangement for the bank as it would have got standard interchange from it's store sibling but paid the cardholder the equivalent of 1p per pound spent.molerat said:Currently I am struggling to see the value of this account. This card is clearly designed to much more closely tie into actual interchange fee revenue.

But given that the Tesco current accounts will be closed in a few months, this might be a worthwhile alternative to earning clubcard points when no other reward is available.molerat said:Currently I am struggling to see the value of this account. Interestingly, there is zero mention of Clubcard points in the Clubcard Pay+ T&Cs.molerat said:Currently I am struggling to see the value of this account. This is a truly a weird account - and that's before I even look at the Round-Up account, which seems to be squarely aimed at people who are easily tricked into thinking that putting a few pennies into a 0.1% interest rate is actually 'saving'.0 -
I have a Tesco CC so could use that for the 1 point per £4 in Tesco on top of the clubcard 1 per £. I believe that with Tesco fuel if I use the CC as the clubcard but use another card to pay I will still get the 1 point per £.crumpet_man said:

That's true - it's also true of the Clubcard Pay[+] and (until November) Current Account debit cards

I don't have an actual clubcard, just use the debit card. I'm doing a switch . Well, trying to. When the current account gets closed, I've nothing to scan to get points. So, I ordered , through the app, a card.
It said they'd send this out within a couple of weeks, but it would have a different number. I'm wondering, does this mean I won't be able to use existing vouchers? I've got about £190 worth, some of them valid until August 2023.0
