I can't find anything about this on the Tesco websiteThat’s the response I got from asking them about Apple Pay so I presume yes as you’re still technically shopping through Tesco
I guess it won’t with Apple Pay as it gives you a whole new card number.

😲😲😲 crikey, it never occured to me that I wouldn‘t get the points if I use the card through ApplePay! It‘s somewhat hard to believe, especially as they say you get the points when shopping elsewhere. But it seems to be working like that for their credit card, too. Weird. But It sounds I can live with using Pay+ for now. I‘ll have to monitor whether they give me the points.0

You also will not get the double points if you use the Clubcard debit card with Curve. So this kills the idea of using Apple/GooglePay with the help of Curve.
I haven't looked into whether you'd get the points for other shops, as I have a cashback credit card that pays me more than 1 Clubcard point per £8.

Mine just came and in some fancy packaging too Lol. Will have to give it a test around.

So far though using it in Tesco has been a breeze. Had to tap the reader twice though when using contactless as the 1st counted as the “Clubcard” tap even though it did a long beep like when it’s a normal card which threw me by surprise Lol.0 -
It turns out that you don't actually get your double points at checkout time, even if you use the actual card. They just credit the standard 1 point per pound. Customer Services were clueless, didn't even know what a Clubcard Pay debit card is but said the double point would probably be credited "later".
The payment I made at a checkout in a Tesco Extra did come off my card balance almost instantly - so far so good. But only as a pending transaction.
I then went to get petrol at the Tesco petrol station: my card, balance then some £50-odd, got authorised for £99 on a "Pay at pump only" terminal (which was a new one on me, as so far this terminal had always offered me cashier or pump). I only needed about £20 worth of petrol, so haven't experienced what happens if I had actually filled up for more than my balance. The authorisation did initially not reduce the balance on my card. 5 hours later, and all that has come off the card by now is £1.00 (pending) for 'Tesco Pay At Pump'. There is also no overdraft facility on the account. You are expected to immediately settle any overdraft, failing which they threaten to close your account. I can see lots and lots of tears if they don't take the purchase off the card balance immediately.
Added to all this that you allegedly do not get any points at all if you use the Clubcard Pay debit card at Tescos with Apple/GooglePay or Curve, it doesn't appear that Tescos really want their new card to become the preferred payment card in the UK.
They also don't instantly transfer your pennies to your "Round-Up" account. Which is a gizzmo I don't want or need, but I have yet to figure out how to turn it off, which I can apparently do.
Given I effectively, and definitely, get 1.5% cashback long term if I use my cashback credit card with Tesco Pay+, I think I will abandon chasing the potential 2% short-term Clubcard Pay 'bribe' at Tesco stores and petrol stations. My cashback credit card will also pay me more than Clubcard Pay at other stores, so I had not intended to use it there, anyway. Still, if you don't have a cashback credit card, or one that only pays less cashback than the Clubcard Pay debit card might give you, the Clubcard Pay debit card could be useful. Just never, ever, use it outside the UK (assuming we can ever get out again).0 -
I take it you haven't used a Tesco Bank card product before colsten, because this is exactly the same as what happens there.
Tesco stores apply their points immediately
Tesco Bank apply their points when the transaction completes a few days later
I don't understand why they've limited the 'in-Tesco spend' component to 3 months, but if you use Curve you will get 1 pt per £8 spent, even at Tesco, regardless of whether you are within or outside those 3 months. This is because when you use Curve you are not paying the merchant directly, but instructing Curve to place a charge against the underlying card. Effectively it is Curve transacting with Tesco Bank in that instance, not Tesco (stores).
For the same reason, I would be very surprised if using Apple Pay or Tesco Pay+ at Tesco stopped the 'Clubcard Pay Tesco Spend' points from applying; in these transactions it is Tesco Bank transacting with Tesco Stores directly. Certainly wouldn't be the first time Tesco Bank had chat absolute rubbish. If the 'online' point was true then no points would be awarded for Tesco.com spend either, which is clearly not true.
There certainly are uses for the Clubcard Pay product, even to those who have a Tesco Premium credit card; transactions for which only a debit card may be used.0 -

There is absolutely nothing that I could find on the Clubcard Pay pages that explained that these double points would be credited in stages.
My spends in Tesco yesterday are now fully reflected, i.e. no longer pending, on my Clubcard Pay account. My double points are still missing.
The Round-Up has also happened, though goodness knows what maths they are using, I spent £xx.88 an £xxx.85, so Round-Up would be 12p + 15p = 27p. They made it 29p. Anyway, it's a gizzmo I don't want, and I have transferred the money back and switched Round-Up off after I eventually found where to do this.WillPS said:

They will show up - transaction no longer showing as pending is not the same thing as a transaction having been settled - give it another day or 2 - Clubcard Points for Tesco Credit Card — MoneySavingExpert Forum
What's odd about the 3 month 'promo' is the lack of any ongoing rate for shopping in Tesco. Spend £80 at Asda - Tesco Bank gives you 10 points. Spend £80 at Tesco in month 4 or later - Tesco Bank gives you 0 points.
I agree, as a day-to-day transaction card it is quite easily beatable (although if you value a Clubcard point at 2.5p as I do, 0.3% is alright as things go), for a card for Debit card only transactions it is highly valuable, particularly if you have large tax bills to pay for example.1
