Tesco Clubcard Pay Bank Account

No. It has to come from an account which can pay to a sort code and account number (push money in), or from an account which supports Open Banking (pull money in), i.e. usually a current account.Fingerbobs said:Can you top it up using a Debit Card?
Or from an internal transfer from another Tesco account.0 -
This applies to me. I do hold two credit cards but they are Marbles and Vanquis........the Tesco Cashback Credit Card is a while away on my credit rebuilding journey.colsten said:However, there are plenty of people who don’t have, and cannot get, a cashback credit card. For them, Clubcard Pay is a nice card, in Tesco and elsewhere, now and after the promo period, as they just need a single card. That is, if they can actually get the Clubcard Pay card, as I gather it’s still not generally available to everyone
The Clubcard Pay account has actually been great for me. My debit card has been replaced in my wallet by the Pay card and I simply sweep my expendable budget into that account when I'm doing my books on payday. There can be an interest bonus too, if one opens the Internet Saver 0.5% account - most of my money sits in that with regular little transfer into the Pay account. The initial Clubcard points offer is a nice bonus too as I do shop in Tesco. This account certainly does a job for me.1 -
Just had an email from Tesco Bank. The Clubcard Pay account will be renamed into Clubcard Pay+.
No wonder Tesco Bank are stressed out over switch requests for their current account (see other thread) if they are busy with such critical activities 🤪

Are they phasing out Pay+ then?

I was wondering the same. All I know is what I posted above.0

Just for info - Tesco offer a foundation credit card that gives points and is a credit rebuilding card.Gary_S_3 said:

I expect the author knew that - like all credit cards it still isn't universally available despite being a rebuilding card (unlike Clubcard Pay[+], which appears to be available to anybody who can get a basic account anywhere) and as rebuilding cards go it seems to be tougher to get than most.

Indeed I did, this card did come up when I was initially researching credit builder cards. I didn't do an eligibility check as I'd already been accepted for Marbles & Vanquis and figured two is more than enough. I'm also not a Tesco loyalist particularly, just happen to be impressed with the Pay+ offering.WillPS said:Deleted User said:

I'm considering getting one of these Clubcard Pay(+) cards, since we do most of our food shop @ Tescos, and already make use of the clubcard points scheme ( mainly hotels.com & renewing railcards )Has it been confirmed yet that you can pay HMRC Self Assessment tax bills with it ? alas too late for this year....0
