Some binny has been in the pack up drawer so OH is having to go to the shop before I can finish doing the lunches for tomorrow.. I may insist on a L!dl run tomorrow.. no crisps, no yoghurt, no biscuits of any kind, no cake bars, no fruit.. They dont get it ALL at once but I have bread and jelly.. that isn't enough.

Congratulations and Happy Anniversary to Jazee and MrJ. What a week for you both!
I woke up before 5.00 and couldn't get back to sleep, so that meant a productive morning and a lost afternoon. I spent time on admin stuff and managed to cross a couple of things off my list. I put the first item on the new Freecycle website and someone is interested- hopefully they will come and collect it soon.
I also cleared out my cutlery drawers and used up leftover bits of stuff from the fridge to make a cauliflower curry for tea.
Rosie didn't particularly want to go out for a walk again this evening, as there is rain and thunder around, but I insisted. We didn't go very far or very fast. She is now curled up again next to the bookshelves. I think that, like me, she is beginning to feel her age.11 -
Layla trundled between showers, and I wore a pair of boots I have hardly ever worn and found again when I sorted out my shoes a couple of weeks ago, but were perfect.DKW released this video today and it's pitch perfect on why decluttering a small space by steps isn't as daunting as we might first think. This is exactly how I'm doing it, and have been doing it for over a month. I would never go back to tackling a whole room or even a whole storage area such as a wardrobe or chest of drawers in one hit. It's been one section, one penpot, drawer, shelf or rail for weeks now, and the change of approach has been miraculous. I wish I'd thought of it myself!Better is good enough.11

Happy anniversary to Jazee and Mr J. I hope you had a relaxing day.
I was the one guilty of finishing all of the biscuits in the WAC last night, so I am topping up the tin with some custard creams and hoping not to be the one eating them tonight. I can tell you that the birds start their dawn chorus at 4.10am though…
I’ve been to work today, eventually made it in at lunchtime after making sure that DD was up and ok. I too have had jobs where Sundays have been ruined by the dread of going back. So much so that I started logging on on a Sunday, telling myself that it was better to know what was coming on Monday, but actually just losing my weekends completely. This job is so much more chilled, but the trade off is the complete thudding drop of salary. You can’t measure the effect on your mind and body though.Half decent veggie chilli cooked in the sc, wm done, and ironing sorted this evening. Kitchen tidied. I have just brought some of my tomato plants back indoors as an experiment. I have lost so many plants this year - all the hardy fuschias seem to have come a cropper and the plants from seeds seem to be struggling with the cold.
I’m now going to follow HB’s link and catch up with DKW.11 -
Did someone mention custard creams?

Morning xx
My anxiety is high- came home yesterday to my appointment letter. Consultant said general anaesthetic, letter says eat and drink as normal on the day!!! That doesn't seem right. When appointment was made on the phone the caller asked me if I needed transport and I said yes, letter says ring this number to arrange transport if you are eligible.
I understand that it's a generic letter - but I don't want to eat and then not be able to have the procedure when I get there. And I thought transport was sorted. It doesn't inspire confidence 😕
So now I have two phone calls to make today. I've told myself that I have 3 weeks to get this sorted out- but I knew the letter had triggered my anxiety. I felt my stomach go. Pathetic in the great scheme of things but there we go.
Flying? I plan to get up, make my bed, get ready for work, feed the birds and put out the recycling. And one item from the ottoman will be put away- I will not be derailed from that!
Love to all

(((Hugs))) and relaxing vibes, round - you've got plenty of time to get this sorted, and all will be well x
The person who asked for the old printer has now said he can't collect until the weekend ("van off road"), which is annoying as I want rid of it - I need space, not heaps of junk, in the utility! And two other people have expressed an interest. Do I offer it to one of them?
I am about to tackle the quarterly Gift Aid and annual Gift Aid Small Donations claims - not my favourite jobs, but they need to be done this morning as I have a handover meeting with the retiring Treasurer this afternoon.
I have tidied the LR, plumped up the cushions, rescued DH's coffee mug, made a second cuppa and decided that it will be best to take Rosie out for her walk before lunch today, if the weather forecast is correct.
Hope everyone has a good day xx10 -
Morning all,
Round, my lovely, those custard creams all had your name on them. Those generic hospital letters cause so much confusion, and create so many unnecessary phone calls. As Ionafan says, you’ve got this, you’ve got 2 weeks to find the person who knows the answer (there will be someone, you need to find them) and you’ve got these flyladies right behind you all the way. Massive hugs xx
Up at a reasonable hour, what a difference an uninterrupted night makes. Packup done, into work later. I’m wfh until I get DD up and sorted.
It’s a beautiful blue sky here. I’m trying not to be fooled.
Have a lovely day all xx10 -
Round.. would putting it off until tomorrow just make it worse or would it give time to get your head in gear? if that won't help do it first before everything else.. I have to do things straight away, if I think about things I put them off indefinitely.
Fayolle.. it's nice here today too.. washing is going out and OH is cutting the grass.
Everyone hoofed out to school.. my arms hurt less today but my left elbow is still painful when I pick things up.
I have 3 ebeasty items to post today so will sort those first and then get a shower and try to wash my birds nest.
Cats need feeding
OH IS applying for a few jobs today.. I am going to challenge him.. 3 a day.. it can not be that hard to achieve.
Boog needs a copy of the CV sending over and can write his own cover letter.Twinkle needs to do her homework later.. I thought her book was at school but I just found it.. it is not at school!I shuffled finances about and paid off some of the things I had on 'pay in 3' on Payp@l .. just one more left to pay. It was the only way I could sort summer bits for the girls and new school trainers and bedding we needed.
I need to make decisions regarding the back room.. what is and is not going in there. and what is hapening with the persistent flaky plaster.. I think the DPM has gone under the concrete floor, looking at it it is rising damp but the damp guy said it is condenstion but there is no mould anywhere, the room constantly has a window open because it is where the cats have their pen so it isn't caused by moisture from the air, it isn't possible.
So much to do.. and no motivation and so little time.. and where the heck do I start?!
