Evening
long walk this morning, got back just as the rain started so good timing, lunch then and cleared up followed by rehanging some pictures that have been in the bottom of my wardrobe since the decorating was done! Still have a few more to do but I am pondering the best home for them so that will wait until decision has been made.
wm x 3 done, 2 dried in td and 1 on the airer, still more left so have reloaded the wm for the morning. We had an early supper as lunch was also early and we were starving, roast beef nom nom, also nice to get the kitchen cleared, DW running and all looking good for tomorrow morning.Hoping you are all ok, I’m going to sit with feet up and read book now, see you on the new thread xx8 -
Hi all
Just checking in, have skimmed through, lots going on. Hope Valli is OK and Pigpen I hope Dot's diagnosis helps and you get something sorted with night times.
So, we have returned from a lovely weekend away. The campsite messaged at 9.30pm on Thursday to say that they were flooded, so they gave us a full refund and we managed to book a Youth Hostel instead. It was brilliant. Their self catering facilities were closed but they do cheap meals so I havent had to cook all weekend. We cycled yesterday and got soaked, but it didnt matter. I have read a book from start to finish and feel thoroughly rested.
Catch you all on the new thread, it's going to be another busy week!11 -
DW been on, dinner cooked and scoffed, watched a webinar on ADHD and another on Aspergers.. I need to save another £3000 to get Squeak and Twinkle assessed.. lol... I might just rob a bank, it would be easier..
I am very concerned about Squeak tbh and hoping the HE will help with some aspects and knowing that for her social activities I or OH will be right there will provide her with the emotional crutch she needs. We are going to have a new signal.. currently if I am talking and they want me to listen they put their hand on my arm, I put my hand on theirs to signify I know they are waiting and will give them my attention in a moment.. for Squeak we are going to adapt this so that if she needs us to cut in and explain she needs more time to get to know people before becoming involved with things she will have a signal, maybe the hand on arm or something which looks normal but we can read. She has hidden behind Dot an awful lot as they have grown up but she is going to get her chance to shine. I have an outline for the 'report' the local authority are likely to ask for so I am going to start writing that now. saying the secondary school she was allocated was too terrible for me to comprehend sending her too won't cut it I'm sure lol. When they request it, it will be done already.
Twinkle has extreme sound sensitivity, and has from birth.. I have always had to cover her ears if a motorbike or emergency vehicle had sirens on. She hates shouting and screaming. Reluctance to try anything unless she knows she can do it first time. She is different to Dot but very specific differences to the other children in her class, one of the TA's was telling me about it on friday.. I said we are keeping an eye on it and would appreciate her opinion as someone with an interest and training in ASC's. The emotional outbursts are extreme. She has no personal boundaries but she is also the youngest of 12.
Right.. bed time..
Thinkking of Valli and hoping she is feeling a bit better.. or at least no worse..
Natty if Valli is off sick do you want me to take over the Fred for next week? *sends out sneaky spiders to check on houses just in case!*
