Hope all are well. Bet you're pleased about Dancegran's house Dancemum. It must have been an emotional journey.
off to great nephews family birthday buffet today so looking forward to seeing everyone and I'm hoping the newest addition will be there as I have never met her. Will look for a pair of Janice's earrings to wear...and a bracelet - then she can come too.
My daughter got her jab this week - no underlying conditions and she's only 25. And she has been accepted onto the masters course! #proud

Morning xx
Brilliant news piggers - all that hard work and perseverance finally paid off. Xx
I had to find a new way home from work again as the main road in and out of town was closed all day due to an accident. I guess someone didn't make it to work/college yesterday 😪
Weekend now woot woot 🥳 Another face cloth gone into the bag for DS. I've been awake since 6 - I was laid planning the best way of dealing with the stuff on the ottoman in my bedroom. Towels and bedding will eventually be kept in the ottoman. I'm toying with the idea of taking everything off it, sorting out whatever is actually inside the ottoman - probably whatever was in there when we moved here...in 2003 - then I can put away the towels/bedding that I'm keeping as I sort it. But that means unflooring my bedroom floor again. And I do so like having floor. I think I'll dump everything on the floor in the empty bedroom. It's only a temporary measure. I can then access the ottoman. I'm quite excited to see what's in there. Biodegradable carrier bags notwithstanding 😡
That's it. That's what I'll do. I'd roll up my sleeves but I'm still in my nightie. That's the plan for today / the weekend
Round 1
Get dressed
Move stuff from ottoman into empty bedroom
Sort contents of ottoman
Put towels and bedding in ottoman
Nothing to live on the ottoman from this day forward- so I can get in it.
I'll take a before, during and after photo for posterity 😉

Round - I so wish I was nearer, I love stuff like that. When I deep decluttered the bedroom I vowed it would stay nice and it has. It took days and some ruthless decisions but it makes me smile every time I walk into it. My ottoman at the foot of the bed contains my walking gear, a pair of vintage Russell & Bromley shoes that were my Grandma's and make my heart leap with joy and nothing else.
I was up at 5 to sort the hens, went back to bed and still in bed! Children are clattering around getting themselves some cereal.
Piggers, your post got me thinking. I can honestly say I hadn't even considered hormones with DD properly - DS, yes, as I blame a lot on testosterone in young boys, but DD is nearly 9 and has some very sensitive/quiet moments at times. She is almost starting to get little breast buds too. I definitely need to bear this in mind a lot more when I am speaking to her sometimes.
Have lovely days all xx10 -
Morning all
Up with DD since 4am. Am now showered, dressed, on cuppa number can’t remember, and preparing for my own pity party day.Just for a change, it’s raining.
Hugs to all, I’m keeping my sticks for the day xx9 -
Whose sodding idea was this?
Oh yeah. Mine!
I'm dressed. Before dumping the stuff in the empty bedroom I decided to hoover said room. I've just about finished hoovering- including skirting boards all round- when I stand on the flex/cord/ thingy and pull it apart where it was taped together. That's a job for DS's dad.
And my eye and my back are complaining already. So I need to pace myself. I forget that I'm the same age as old people now.
Anyway, I've started to move stuff. Three more pairs of socks in my sock drawer. Scarf and gloves set also put in there until they find a home. A raggy bra and two pairs of (clean) raggy pants binned.
Toast and brew 2 next. I got so carried away that I forgot to eat!!!! Maybe I'm ill 🤣
asb - I'm a very difficult person to help but thank you for the thought. You are officially designated as the Tuit Team's chief cheer leader. You can do that from there 🥳

ETA Big hugs to Fayolle xxIT ONLY TAKES SMALL DAILY ACTIONSFOR MAGIC TO HAPPENRosemary Ikpeme8 -
Good morning 🙂
Hugs to Fayolle. It's Saturday, take a day for yourself (well, as much as you can)
Pigpen I'm glad Dot has a diagnosis now and can get support
Round Sounds like a plan! You are on it!! 😁
Hugs, sticks & spoons available to anyone that needs them 😊
I am up & dressed, had breakfast & on cuppa no. 2 - unusual for a Saturday! The fence panels are on their way!! Hopefully this lot will actually get delivered!! I have a long to do list - some of it garden/allotment related, so weather dependent. DD2 & BF are here for the week. She has done WMX2, which are in the TD. I have emptied & cleaned the litter tray and cleaned the toilet & basin in the UR.
DH has put the (broken up) top cupboards in my car, and will take to the tip on the way home from work🤞 I have emptied a box of gibble & donated the box to DD2. The box kept being put on my (empty!!) chair by DH 🤬 so it is gone now! I swear this house would be tidy if I lived alone!! (it wouldn't, and I don't really want to 😂)
For someone who is trying to declutter, I am buying a lot of stuff!! 😱 As well as the fence panels (necessary, and old ones will be burnt by NDN), I am waiting for 4 parcels!! 😳 3 are new resources for the children (work related, but I need to get rid of old stuff) & one for me! (crochet related 🧶). Whoops!! 😂
Have a good day everyone! I hope the sun shines for you 😊🌤
ETA Round pace your self!! You don't want to do yourself a mischief!!
Parcel 1 just delivered! Yay! I have more yarn to make some baskets for DD1 who is visiting next week, and a yarn bag to keep it all in - I am hoping the container concept works for this one!!9 -
I'm in.
Stuff that was on top of the ottoman is now sorted into piles in the (previously) empty bedroom. Clothes hanger and socks rescued from behind the ottoman.
And the lid was lifted. The big reveal. Boy' clothes age 11- 12 yrs. And that's where my knitting needles went! And, oh, my rainbow socks with individual toes....look like new. Primary school leaving day polo shirt- for DS to put in his memory box. I was getting a bit overwhelmed so I've come down for a coffee.
I don't have to do it all at once. One item at a time will still get the job done. Swim shorts with perished elastic, anyone?

Well done to you Round and sending you all my love Fayolle xxxx
Hens cleaned out (grim) but they are so happy with their lovely new bedding. Eggs boxed up for friends, cake made, now I need to actually get a wash and ready for off x8 -
Fayolle... huge hugs for you and DD.
Round.. goodness woman.. be careful.. or else you will be a permanent pirate!!! You need to take care of yourself now you are 'an old person' lol...
ASB .. young peeps often have a hormone surge at abotu 8, before the visible signs of puberty so it is likely DD is there. AF usually turns up at around 7.5 stone but obviously that doesn't account for tiny little people (like Moomin) or giant beasties (like Pixie) .. Calling her Pixie is actually becoming a bit of a joke... she is 7 and 137cm tall! (98th centile), about as un-pixielike as she can be lol
Anyway.. from September we will be home educating Squeak.. and waiting for a place to come up at the chosen high school. At least we know definitively and can work with that, I am massively anxious abut it and just absentmindedly chewed my shaky finger to the bone... and corrected all my spellings. The EHCP and Diagnosis for Dot are going to come into their own in terms of high school.. we are likely to get her in at year 9 when Dot starts. Until then we will be child centred home education with online maths, english and science and continuing the music lessons through the LA.. We will sort it out and it will all be fine, and if she decides she doesn't want to go back to school then we will find a way to continue. Looking forward to our field trips.. at least once a week.. I shall start planning places of interest now. Wondering if we should incorporate a touring caravan for weekends and school holidays.
I was learning about the royal family in the netherlands yesterday so we can do that together.. this stemmed from the name of my WoW character.. we can start there! Ooh.. and the development of household appliances with lessons on how to use them lol.. It will all work out well in the long run.
Today I need a laundry catch up still but the sky is still leaking off and on.. and my bedding is needing changing.
uniforms need a wash.
There is so much to do. Including writing a plan for the EHE some September.. This is going to be added into my Flying so if I don't mention what we have done for a few days I want someone to ask me.. I lack focus and I will start guns blazing but I need kicking.
I have sorted my sock drawer
I have had a shower and got dressed
Squeak is in the shower now.
I have listed 10 items on V!nted.. I don't like that site but if stuff shifts that is great.
I'm going to message my HE friends and ask for help right this weekend. Who knows.. I may love it and pull them all out.. I've always wanted to HE so here is my chance to prove to myself I can do it.

Hello all. Hugs to anyone who needs them.
I've been lurking every now and again but work has been stupid busy and there's lots of council work and campaigns to sort too. I'm still not a grandmother but like buses there are now two on the way.
This morning I have done dailies, walked the dogs and spent a couple of hours gardening. It's looking like rain again so the next wash load can go on the airer. Not really a do nothing Saturday.
I was going to meet with friends later but have decided instead to spend the afternoon with DH when he gets home from work.
What else to report....the TV box had broken and we don't have a smart tv but will still be able to watch Eurovision later, DHs car is still at the garage, been there ten days now and going to cost nearly £1k to repair.....think that's it.
Oh, and I made flapjacks this week, probably need to blame that temptation on one of you fly ladies!Spend less now, work less later.11
