Morning xx
The calendar says May but I'm not convinced!
Up, dressed, made my bed, breakfasted. One gym towel and two face cloths in the bag for DS. Two pillow cases in the laundry hamper to be washed and one definitely to join its mate in cs bag - not sure if the other is a keep or cs. I need to choose a colour scheme for the flylady retreat!
If you crave excitement I hope you get it. Personally I'm hoping for a wonderfully event free day. And it's Friyayyyy woot woot.
Hugs

Good morning!
Valli I agree! In DKWs book, she mentioned being told about selling loo roll tubes, and how this information is NOT helpful for someone with hoarding tendencies 😂 I really related to this, as I have seen these posts and thought 'ooooh!' And I have a little stash of old printer cartridges....😳 They will go when I unearth them! 😂 I can't be doing with the hassle of selling 'proper' stuff, let alone 'rubbish'!
Paid stuff today. Dog has been walked, WM swishing. WU done last night - I hope I can keep this up because I like it! I am not going anywhere today, because it is too windy! Roll on summer.....
Have a good day everyone 😊8 -
Assessment for Dot at 10am... praying she is exceptionally herself so the cons. can see her at her worst.. I'm rather dreading it if I am honest, she responds well to new places.. lots to look in and fiddle on and touch and eat and explore.. and she asks so many rude questions with such pure innocence. It's going to be great!

ionafan said:(((Hugs))) to pigpen, round, YL, Fayolle and everyone else who is fed up with life / the weather / lack of help or anything at all.^^^ Wot she said.Valli, I'm with you so we're both probably a bit churlish. I read that article, she'd been collecting them since the 1980s so I can honestly say she earned the money! Not sure why anyone would pay it though. However, the same article listed corks going for 9p each which was a bit excessive I thought, and particularly as I'd just given the scrapstore a bin bag full of them! Loo roll holders/middles are always mentioned in those articles too, but you can bet your bottom dollar that if we tried to Bay of E them we wouldn't get any interest.I felt dreadful yesterday so had to take the day out of it again. Better today, will trundle the dog in the wind, rain and gale in a bit - she's no more keen than I am. After that I need to clear a few small jobs in my office again which once again has been used as my dumping ground, empty a freezer, find somewhere to take four boxes of clothes to donate (the Hospice has paused donations), and then see if I can get the freezer in the car to take to the tip, and pick up the Foodbank paperwork. Technically that's all do-able in a day but I have my doubts about it being today.I've found I spend quite a lot of my time now rehoming stuff that's cluttering the place up. It's slightly irritating (I don't think Belovéd has EVER put a shopping bag away after getting one out of the cupboard and using it) but the place does look a lot better for being kept constantly degibbled.Better is good enough.9

Have you all been washed away or melted in the moisture??????
Dot had her appointment this morning..OH was super late for work.. but she comes first and I insister he had food before he went. Anyway, we have an official ADHD diagnosis and are moving on to Autism and full ASC assessments for next time. Dot said 'so I'm a weirdo'.. I said 'no, you are just not boring and have different things you like and feel things a bit differently and you are just too good at jumping. We now have to find ways to help you learn and enjoy school and help you concentrate and not get all full up with feelings and pop' She said 'cool' ... and went back to counting dogs. She actually seems a bit pleased she has a name for why she feels different to everyone else this evening.
Nothing else has been done.. and we all nearly died on the school run again.. Twinkle has gone to her friends for tea so I feel a bit naked and lost.

Excellent outcome, Piggers. Now that what makes Dot so exceptional has a name she should be able to get some support. I've achieved very little today but it hasn't been a complete write off, and in three weeks I have a home for the four boxes of clothes I have in the back of the car. They'll have to come back in to the house if we need the space but in the meantime they're not doing any harm in there and as far as I'm concerned they're *flung*.Doing paperwork now.

Evening ladies
Fab news Piggers xx
TFI Friday! What a week. All year 11 & 13 have now had their last day. It’s been emotional, exhausting and wonderful all rolled together. I’ve been given some absolutely beautiful gifts, and the cards have made me weep.
I am enjoying a glass of bubbles now courtesy of one lovely girl, and whilst I have a busy weekend planned it is full of nice things. The DW has just gone on - I am determined we will wake up to a spotless kitchen tomorrow - and the fire is lit. Yes. In May.
Chickens in dire need of a clean out so that’s first on the list tomorrow.
Had an amazing haul at the food waste share group yesterday- not spent a single thing this week so frugal living going very well.
Enjoy your weekends all xx

A great result for Dot, and great perseverance on your part, pigpen x
Glad you've had a wonderful day, asb.
I wish I could find somewhere to take my CS donations, HB. Any chance you could sneak in an extra bag for me?
Love to Kaz and Jazee if you're lurking xx
Today I have
- finally re-sorted the insurance
- finished the Gift Aid and GASDS claims
- hoovered all through upstairs and tidied the LR
- made butternut squash, celery, carrot and red lentil soup for lunch (very filling but free on SW!)
- had my blood test
- returned unwanted items to m&s and bought some others
- posted a letter
- done a small shop at the corner store rather than try to do a late trip to the greengrocer's and MrAl
- got the food out of the freezer ready to cook *now*

Good news Pigpen, I used to tell my boys that it was like they had a slightly different operating system such as Macs and PCs and that helped.
DG’s loft is now empty and the house looks full. Another tip run done. Lots of sorting. I’m recycling all my accountancy and theatre books as they aren’t in good condition after being in the loft and or probably out of date too.
Found my bounty and baby name books. DS1 is nearly 25 so more recycling.
I did discover a folder with lots of my ballet and tsp certificates which I will keep.
At home
I did my dailies and cleaned my mirrored wardrobe.11 -
Dot seems very pleased with her new fancy label.. she proudly announced it to her class.. So that's fun..
Squeak came out all upset because she is hormonal.. and a boy has been being mean to her saying she needs to read more. She reads loads but keeps forgetting to take her reading journal into school. She told DS2 she has been bullied since yr 2 but she is hyper-sensitive and anything is bullying her, her teach is lovely and absolutely would not tolerate any form of bullying, she is having a word with the class about the reading issue today. We've had anxiety over what will happen in transition week when the year 6's are at their high school.. Squeak will just go into school as normal in her year 5 class! So much drama for such a small person.. life is too much at the moment, I think I should look into some kind of help for her too before it totally takes over her life.
Since my elbows have not quite recovered from last weekends painting I am leaving the wlalpapering another week. There is one more week of school and then half term so that will give me extra papering time so definitely a plan.
