[Waving madly to LW] You've made *our* day, Lame Wolf. Once a Flylady, always a Flylady! Thank you for writing such a long post. Rosie sends you a big X and we're sure that Cookie will give you lots more. You and MrLW make a great team! I hope that you get the help you need from your rheumatology consultant, and that you feel better soon x
Sticking to the thread rules:
I have washed and dried all the used but keepable microfibre cloths, along with Rosie's towel (she might need it again after her walk, as we've just had a nasty hail shower- though we're now back to sunshine and blue sky
)

Pigpen, what size curtains do you need? I have 4 plain French-navy-blue, cotton curtains with tab-tops, which came from the Swedish shop many years ago. They may not all be usable, but I'm sure I could get a pair out of them if they're of any use to you. They are long and wide enough to cover patio doors. Tell me if you want the exact measurements and I'll hoick them out of the bathroom loft - I know exactly where they are!10

So lovely to hear from you LW! You are always welcome here 😊
DH and I have cleared the 3 top cupboards. 1 bag dropped off at the CS, along with 3 framed pictures. I also have several watercolour paintings (some framed, some only mounted) that I need to rehome. I have put them on a WApp group, and I have 1 taker so far. I may put them on fb. I'm not fishing for compliments - I just want to find them a good home! 😂
Food shop done, downstairs toilet & basin cleaned. I am going to vac the LR but DH is using it upstairs at the mo. He is taking down the 3 cupboards. They seem to sag in the middle, and I have visions of them falling on our heads in the night!! 😱 I had better go and help......10 -
So lovely to hear from you, Lamewolf, and to know that you're looking forward to having a dog visitor very soon. And a big thank you to Piggers for making contact.I've finished all the paperwork, baked a batch of sausage rolls which were indescribably nasty *sigh* vacuumed the stairs and the sawdusty bits of my office because of the cat's spare litter tray that they've taken to using overnight is in there, dusted the flat surfaces in the sitting room and dining room, cleared the washing up and run myself a bath. I can only cut my toenails after they've had a soak so that's it for me until it's time to pull supper together.Fayolle, the Container Concept has saved me from overwhelm several times already, and I only heard about it for the first time a couple of months ago. I LOVE the idea that you put your favourites (or what you actually need) in first, and the space left can be topped up with whatever else belongs in that particular container - if you want to. It focussed my mind straight away and it's made decluttering so much easier after years of not knowing what to get rid of and what to keep. GI, how helpful have you found the book?Wow, Ionafan. I'm not sure if Layla would be hanging around for long if we left her outside unsupervised for even a minute when the gates are open. Higgs, our black 'kitten' escaped the other day and if he hadn't suddenly found his voice when trapped in the lightwell next door I don't think we'd ever have found him. He was silent for three years but that experience terrified him so much he's become quite vocal since. Thank goodness he fell down there because if he'd climbed the crabapple or fig trees he's be out on a main road. It doesn't bear thinking about.I've got a long day tomorrow at the Foodbank as a Re-Induction for the post-Lockdown new routines, followed by a barbeque lunch outdoors for all returning volutneers - two new members of staff were taken on during Lockdown so a lot of the volunteers haven't even met them. We need decent weather! Just a quick heads up: If you've ever thought of volunteering at a foodbank but been told they didn't need any, now is the time that that might very well do. People considered at risk (ie over 65) were asked to take a volunteering break while the virus was circulating a bit out of control, but most of them are apparently not keen on returning (I have no idea why not). We used to have somewhere 100 and our numbers are going to be very considerably reduced in the near future.Better is good enough.11

LW... Thank you for stopping by.. I am sad to hear you are in so much pain I wish we could make it better for you
But bless Mr Wolf getting on as best he can.. you are both inspirational and each so lucky to have the love and support of the other. Delighted your furry friends can come visit again soon, I bet you have missed them so much!
DM.. hugest of huge hugs.. Sounds like a very hard day xx
Well, miracles have happened here today..
Moomin cleaned the bathroom, it looks beautiful.
DS2 loaded the DW TWICE... yes.. twice... He put out a bag of rubbish.. now if he gets a shower I will faint clean away!!!
Boog hung out the washing and brought the dry stuff in.. alone, unaided, without blackmail, bribery or threats of extra onions in his dinner..
I emptied 2 bins and refed both WM's. Fed the cats and did not touch a paint brush.. I am in so much pain... I might have to do this again next weekend it is pretty wonderful having others do a bit of housework too!
OH not home from work yet, He was rota'd until 9:15 but the pub might stay open a bit longer it was very much being played by ear.. but apparently it was utterly dead this evening but they couldn't open at 12 as planned due to a powercut. No electric.. no beer, no food..

Oh LW I have the biggest smile on my face reading your post, you are missed around here, just drop in and say hello from time to time if you can.
ASB is it work hun or just life in general getting on top of you? I know you have long term plans but is there anything you can do in the short term to make things a bit easier? When I look back to the kids being younger I remember how much pressure I put on myself, and how I never put myself first. That said bringing two kids up on your own and working at a demanding job is not easy. You know that I have been there with anxiety/MH stuff so I really get it, here if you want to chat x
Today must have been tough Dancemum, hope you are OK.
A good day here, my meeting went better than expected and I stood my ground when challenged which is a rare thing for me. So, strength training first thing. Paid stuff 9am to 8.30pm with a 2 hour lunch break and 15 minutes for my tea! Hoovered around, dusted LR, sorted DHs tea for him, wrapped my nieces birthday present to post tomorrow.
In the office again tomorrow. Bedtime now, night all x11 -
LR vac'd. The cupboards are still up - for now (we have nowhere to put them until we can get to the tip - DH is off next week, so he can do it then).
I finished the basket I was crocheting. I will start another tomorrow....
HB I finished the book, and it was helpful. I haven't watched anymore videos - thats a rabbit hole I don't want to go down! 😂 I accidentally got the 2nd book - I thought I was downloading the first one!! 🤦♀️ I had a £3 discount for the kindle version. I am trying to decide if its worth getting the 1st one now 🤔
WU done & DW put on, so the kitchen looks reasonable. The habit is starting to form.....😊😇
Night night everyone! 😘10 -
Lovely to see you LW. I'm so sorry to hear your health has declined but will send the love, light and lavender vibes for a positive rheumo appointment. You both seem to make a good team although some roles have swapped. Enjoy your time with the lovely Cookie. Many thanks to Pigpen for letting this non flylady make contact with LW. Many on different threads miss her very much.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
There but for fortune go you and I.12
