Work day swapped to tomorrow so that I can get DD to school and then be taxi for DD and her friends after their last A Level assessment this afternoon. They have a table booked for a meal - indoors!
Wm is on, clean washing has been sorted, recycle bins are out. I’m waiting for a delivery to arrive as DH is on a work call for a couple of hours. Apart from that, I think I need to read the list, and probably drag the vacuum cleaner around at some point in the day.
Back later. Have a lovely day all.10 -

Maybe that will happen when you come to pick up your parrot? Hic 😉
I'm dressed, WM is swishing, and I've fed the birds and put out the recycling. I've also started to match up socks. So far DS has 9 pairs, I have 4 pairs and cs ragbag has 3 pairs. I've put the redundant bedding in the cs donations bag. And I'm feeling 😇

Morning all. Thanks for the list.
I have walked the dogs, done the dailies, changed bedding, dusted surfaces in bedroom and electrical in living room and watered plants in the greenhouse. DH has emptied the cupboard where th3 meters are ready for smart meters being fitted today and I need to clear stuff near the boiler next.
Was going to do a tip run with stuff from the cupboard but DH might need my car to go to docs. His is at the garage for an expensive clutch repair.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.12 -
I have finally updated my calendar. I've also checked my bank statement and filed, shredded, recycled or binned paper as appropriate.
I'm hungry. I feel the need for porridge.
Then I'll match another pile of socks - I've sorted them into piles: black, navy, grey, distinctive features, and I've already matched the piles for white and obvious.
See you later

Thanks for the listies Valli and Natty. I hope your meeting goes well today, YL.Layla trundled, 5 Minute Pick Up done and various things homed where they should be kept rather than cluttering the place up, plan made for the day. I will Fly later when I've done the two things that are urgent.Better is good enough.11

I'm taking a break from black sock matching. It's making my eyes boggle. All the rest are done. DS has a carrier bag full of paired socks to take home the next time he visits. All socks with a hole in plus their mate are in the ragbag. I still have some unmatched - obviously not unearthed their mates yet.
I've also WUDUPA a bowl of pots.
Coffee time now

Good afternoon! 😁 Thanks ladies for the lists.
I have been AWOL, but have been flying/decluttering. I have made some progress in the bedroom (cleared the floor on my side, and the chairdrobe) and with some cupboards in the DR. 2 bags taken to the CS on Saturday, and another in progress. I have got rid of stuff that I would normally keep (including 5 cherished teddies ornaments) so I am quite pleased with myself. I also have kallax units (a MUST when childminding 😂). The cupboards are in there. One is now "sewing" and another is "art". I have more art stuff upstairs (watercolours mainly), but that will need another home. DKWs methods are working at the moment, and I can relate to a lot of what she said! Pigpen, from reading her book, she was in a similar position to you (only with less children!!), so it is doable, when you are ready. The problem is when its not yours or neutral mess....
Grumpy dog was booked in for an op on Friday to remove 3 lumps. When I got there the vet wasn't happy about his heart murmur. She called a bit later to say that they wouldn't be proceeding due to his heart, and also his liver (after blood tests). He is now booked in to see the cardiologist, and they are talking about doing the procedure after that and after medication. I don't think we will be doing that, as we would have run out of money by then!! He is nearly 12.
I have caught up on the thread - hugs to those that need them, esp ASB & Fayolle. I'm sorry if I have forgotten anyone else, but hugs, sticks and spoons available to those that need them. Round & HB you are both doing brilliantly with your decluttering and are inspiring me to keep at it.
So far today grass has been cut, seedlings checked, bank accounts & emails checked and meal plan & shopping list done. Food shop next I think, although DH is talking about looking through some cupboards in our bedroom so we may do that first.
Have a good day everyone!
