Quick hi from me...woke up with a dry throat so I've had a sip of water and a comfort visit.

Morning xx
I woke up at 4.45, threw a stick for the black dog and dozed on and off until getting up time.
I'm up, dressed, my bed is made, another book has been removed from my bedroom, lunch is packed and brew is going down nicely.
I'll feed the birds, put out the recycling and bring in the bin- which they've just emptied- before I set off for the paid stuff.
Love to all

I filled another bag of rubbish from 1 Kallax drawer. Honestly, I have no idea how it all fits in! I have 3 full of hats and gloves to sort through, I am pretty sure I have enough hats for a colony of Hydra!! We do not need them all! We all only have 1-2 we wear and many are too small.. or odd gloves..
Fly-tipping neighbours are getting a knock on the door today. Hopefully that will do the trick because I am not tolerating it. Bags of food and household waste in the street.. nasty!
Everyone deposited.. I have boiler service today so DS2 needs hoofing out of bed.. so I shall don clothes and make a start on decorating it.. once I have started I just get excited and can't stop so it will be blitzed. It's only a small room so shouldn't take long.
OH put the car stuff back in the car when I gave him a limit before it was binned.. Just like that I have half a sofa back!
Question.. Does anyone have the solid wood worktop in the kitchen? I have gorgeous granite stuff BUT I need to drill a tap hole bigger to accommodate a new tap.. however, I do not think the piece of stone will handle being drilled and will simply crack so I am procing up expecting to have to buy new worktop. The issue is, I have a Belfast sink so there will be 'edges' ... Ordinary cheap worktop will soak up water like a sponge and be destroyed in days so I'm wondering if a solid wood one would be more durable and be ok? My kitchen is pretty much this.. and the sink the same but is it practical?? I have a dishwasher so no pot washing really but I don't know.. The other alternative is a resin top which are extortionate.
*I would not be paying these prices.. There is a caravan surplus place near me so I would go there for dirt cheap bits.. I need flooring for the bathroom and loo so need to go anyway and will price up first.
One bill paid in full today! that is £20 a month less going out!! I also cut my toenails.. I hate doing them it feels weird but it's done now.
Today..
Boiler service
Laundry out/in/up/down etcFront room gutting before it gets worse.2 ebeast parcels .. second NPB got themselves banned from buying my stuff again.. I have no time for time wasters.DWCheck 'defrosted' freezer..

Freezer lives to freeze another day.. water mopped!
Washing on the line, TD and both WM's on
DW on
Cats fed in clean bowls so hopefully they will be less picky.
OH banished to make the garden less gross..
I am grabbing the 2 ebeast parcels and sorting those, then shovelling the trays. I will need to reload the DW then and the worktops can be wiped down after, they are pretty gross.
I may then have breakfast.
No sign of boiler guy.
DS2 has had it 'strongly suggested' that he looks at a vocational course such as painting and decorating or plastering.. English not a requirement.. before I murder someone for sitting in the house!

Rabbit hutch and understory cleaned; airing/drying now. Few weeds pulled - I don't have a lot of energy - I am NOT wearing myself out todayDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Thank you Honey Bear7 -
I am also not wearing myself out today. I was in the WAC at 4am, working first shift at 6.30, council work to deal with when I finished that so I grabbed some food then took the dogs for a walk. Bare essentials are done. Now I'm just going sit and cuddle Poppet until it's time for my next work shift.Spend less now, work less later.9

I've received Dots next appointment for her assessment.. next Friday at 8AM!!! .. changed that sharpish to 10am!!! lol... I'm good for nothing at 8am.. especially on a school day!
DW reloaded.. it's not quite full so I had lunch so I could add some bits lol
No word from the service dude so I will go kick DS2 anyway so I can air the stinky man smell our of the room before the engineer arrives.. no one needs to smell that!
While I am in there I will sort the piles of stuff I will need to move to decorate.. and take pictures and mirror down and start stripping wallpaper to distress DS.. I LOVE my job.
OH outside making mess.. he is in the dog house for trying to 'weed' my mint ... grrrrrr

Too right, Valli and Jazee.
I was also up at 5.30, and have worn myself out this morning. Did some admin before breakfast and sorted/deleted some of the file folders on My Docs. Finished hoovering the study (again, thanks to Rosie) and HSL, then carried on dusting and hoovering round the ground floor, hoping to finish all the parts I hadn't reached yesterday. Shifted a sofa to clean all four sides and the carpet underneath (Rosie nests against one end and has a clear run all round for chasing after toys, so it tends to get hairy) - that was heavy! - so thought better of moving the other sofa. Who's going to look behind it anyway? Naughty Flylady! Started (fortunately) with the worst area of DH's bedroom floor, but the cordless thingy ran out of juice before I could do the last couple of sweeps. The thingy is back on the charger, and I have given up until tomorrow. One day the whole house *will* be clean! - it really doesn't take long when it's kept tidy, and even DH is beginning to see that.
DH said at lunch that he was going to Mirey Hell (our local shopping mall) on his way to the wargames shop this afternoon. When I asked what he needed there, he said "Highlighters, preferably pink and orange" so I told him to look in the oddments basket on the kitchen shelf for an orange one and have provided an almost new pink one from my desk, with the promise of another orange one if the first one runs out. We do not need more stuff in this house! My CS/EeeByGum/Freecycle pile has grown considerably this week, through the application of Dana's 5 basic principles to my sorting
Oh, and in the 5 minutes whilst waiting for our mushroom omelette to cook for lunch, I turned out my herbs and spices shelf, cleaned it and put everything back again neatly (even if some of it is a bit OOD)
When I've drunk the coffee that DH has kindly made for me, I need to drive to the nearby market town to pick up a small order from EmAndEss which has been waiting for me for almost a week, so it will be sent back to the depot if I don't get there today or tomorrow.
Laters, ladies xx8
