Back from garage (walked; about 1.5 miles because I know where all the short-cuts are) - rang me before I got home - had I seen the video - no - their internet's down so no videos being sent; mechanic had to call from his own mobile. Data Protection Act anyone? Anyway I know what needs doing and what can wait. *wince*
Tomorrow morning planned and resourced, pm almost done too *glow*

Thank you Honey Bear9 -
Fayolle has said everything I wanted to say to all of you, YL, Kaz, Round, Mademoiselle, Badcat, and ASB - couldn't have put it better myself so I'm going to ^^^ Wot She Said. Special (((hugs))) for you Fayolle - I don't know how you keep it together; I am truly in awe of you. And Dancemum, I'm pretty sure you've been running on empty for some considerable length of time. I hope that Thursday's meeting resolves those things it's about, goes well and you come out of it feeling better. That list sounded very much like rage cleaning, but it's just as effective if it's procrastination cleaning. Either way, well done.Layla has to go to the vet today for yet another blood test. This is now going to be a fortnightly feature of our lives for the foreseeable future, but she's very good about it and the nurses are exceptionally kind to her so she's not traumatised by it, thank goodness.Today's Listy Item for me is ironing, which will be a cinch after all the decision making and work over the past few weeks, and a bit of shredding, possibily if I've got any spoons left a bit of kilner-type jar sorting so I can put some on the Tree of Gum. I don't need them and there's bound to be someone who would like them not too far away. That will clear another surface. Good.Better is good enough.9

Harvey who is ‘surface wash only’ bathing in his own muddy water.. that’s a lot of love right there! He has been through surgery, a broken arm, dentists, holidays, chickenpox, every tummy bug and cold.. I dread to think the levels of bacteria! I’m sure school will be glad he had a bath too.. he goes every day as support for Dot.. Scruffaluvs have gone today while Harvey has a bath. He has his own desk and work to do.
He was still grey when he came out of the washer!

Just a quick hello from work between lessons. Thank you all for your good wishes to DD2. And very excited that this is my 1000th post.
Fayolle I totally get where you're coming from with surgeons and looks, DD2 was born with a cleft lip and gum so has had numerous ops including nose at 18 & 19, we have a lot of experience dealing with physical scars if you want any one else's thoughts.10 -
You gotta love Harvey!
Back on the old PC for the time being, and typing is sooooo much easier, so that leaves space in my brain for remembering other important things, like saying to asb how much she deserves the brilliant comments from her students xx
Just as I typed my earlier post about hanging out washing, the rain poured down. And the net curtain in DH's ground floor room - which can be seen into from the lane - fell down as I was moving his cacti, so I had to wash that and move yesterday's washing round on the radiators to free up an airer to put in the shower for the curtain to drip dry. My back is aching again and I haven't got the energy to hang it all out once more, so today's washes will have to go in the TD. But (randomly) I have sorted my wardrobe and jumper drawer and chucked out about 10 things that do not fit my current lifestyle (or me, for that matter!) - thank you HB.

Hello. Can I just echo all that has been said and still marvel at what a supportive thread this is.
Today I have done the dailies, walked the dogs, hoovered through and mopped the hard floors, disinfected all switches, sockets, handles etc and spent a while in the garden weeding until my back began to ache.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
I'm back 👀. Weather forecast says it's going to rain so I've draped towels and tea towels on the airer. The sun is shining- heyho.
I saw the eye consultant and I'm going to have a small operation on my eye sometime in the next 4 weeks. Half a day at the hospital. 5 minutes in theatre. Sore eye for a couple of days and he says that will sort it. Bye bye Boris.
I'm going to finish recycling those Royal magazines - 3 binders left to do. And that's a bit more bedroom floor unearthed.
A pox on biodegradable bags. They are no use to hoarders - just saying 😉

Dogs walked again before the predicted rain. I attempted some shredding but it appears the machine is dead. Thought I'd be all frugal and use pinking shears instead. My thumb still has the indent, so I'll have to source a new one.Spend less now, work less later.10

Afternoon you lovely lot
Thank you for your kindness xx I think the world of each and every one of you xx
Work done, school run done, my lovely friend took my washing to do whilst she was doing her own bless her. I’ve finally got myself a tablecloth for the kitchen table, it’s only taken me a year! Also changed a direct debit and have yet another bank account to close.
I’ll get that letter written and posted tomorrow. I’ve also made DS a much needed hair appointment at the barbers for after school tomorrow.
An easy supper of fish finger sandwiches and beans here.
Enjoy your evenings everyone xx

Well said ASB you lot are truly amazing, coming on here is such a massive help. Fayolle in my experience a lot of hospital staff have very little consideration for the mental health of their patients, maybe they are just too busy focusing on physical health, but emotions and feelings are all tied up in recovering and healing. Glad progress is good though.
Pigpen you have brought back happy memories of Thumper (DSs rabbit) hung on the line by his ears. I think Thumper is still in his cupboard.
Madly busy day at the paid stuff, tired now. Fish pie made and eaten, two loads of doggie blankets washed, kitchen fairly tidy. I want to do some yoga before bed. One more day in the office this week.10
