Congrats to your DD mademoiselle - I missed your earlier post.
Up early to take the car in for service. We had a staff absence yesterday, had she been off today I would have been asked to cover so I got all that sorted yesterday.
Ridiculously excited that I found a new app so can teach simple coding to my Y2s and possibly my Y3s - boss is going to show me how to screenshare tomorrow.
Today will consist of planning and paperwork, might fly later if the other jobs are done.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear9 -
Morning xx
I'm up, my bed is made and WM is swishing towels and tea towels. I'm supping my brew as if I have all day, and just realised that I'm getting picked up in 45 minutes.
Hugs to all

DM.. can you get it all into one pile and sort one handful at a time every time you sit for a cuppa? I did a big box full here yesterday and it is the only way I can stand paper sorting it is so boring. I had a bag for the bin, a bag to keep and a bag to put away.. in the end 99% was binned... bills from 2015 anyone??
Excellent news for DD Ma'am.. pass on our congrats! You need to make another post .. you have 999! haha.
Polly has got fed up of the younger cats chasing her and she is no longer scared of them so she is doing the chasing.. it is like a Tom and Jerry cartoon in here.. they chase one way, she chases them the other.. with her tail all sticky up because she is proud of herself.. I'm not sure who is chasing who at times.
Todays delights..
We got muddled up on bins.. OH always checks and didn't and put out black and it was blue being emptied.. so they have not been emptied.. I will contact the council later and say it was missed and complain about the 'contaminated' bin further up and get both emptied.
I have 2 more kallax boxes to sort through.1 ebeasty item to find then they can all to to PO. I MUST list more.
OH has the front room to tidy, we have Jazzles tomorrow so Lionels cake smash.Tools to gather to the shed.
Car stuff has still not been put in the car so that is on his list too.. and I'm feeling bossy.
CS stuff can go in the car while he is at it and be deposited on a driveby at some point.
You know how children often have a favourite smelly toy? ... Well Dot has requested I wash Harvey (and his wife, Luna)... prayers made to all deities there is more than dirt holding them together..

2 emails sent to councillors.. one about fly-tipping and pot holes the other about a wonderful proposed use of a burnt out husk of a building just around the corner..

Calming vibes to dancemum. X
Hope you and DD got some sleep last night, Fayolle xx
Pigpen, could you take photos of Harvey and Luna before you wash them, just in case, and then put them in a pillowcase or mesh laundry bag to protect them in the WM? Fingers crossed for them!
So far this morning I have
- stripped my bed completely
- done and hung out WMx1 and started the second load
-dusted and hoovered my bedroom and the bathroom
-Cleaned the basin and shower
- Re-stocked toilet roll stash in the ensuite
- flooded the DW and S&S'd kitchen
- received a phone call from my computer man which has thrown my plans for today and tomorrow into disarray
Still to be done:
- Hoover the HSL and all through downstairs
- water and feed the houseplants
- Hang out the second load of bedding
- Food shop - urgent! - and pick up meds
- Sort at least one box of papers
- Mow the lawn, which is now being trampled by a flock of baby starlings 😀
- Rosie's walk8 -
Bedroom wardrobe mirror cleaned
Amazing what you can do when you are procrastinatingGood plan Piggers. I have been through it all once so it all keeps for now. I need to combine duplicate folders and maybe rehome in the boys’ room for now.I also have mountains of paperwork concerning DS2 and job application stuff.
Mlle Congratulations to DD on job x
Kazw Sorry to hear the news wasn’t good x
Iona Glad you are felling better x
Honeybear I am so impressed by what you are achieving, well done x
Round Good luck, I think you have an appointment today x8 -
Morning
Im at the paid stuff and it’s going to be busy but I’ve fluttered round and done the dailies, lounge tidied, wm x 1 run, will put it on the airer when I next go down for a cuppa. Windows open for fresh air but will be closing them soon as I’m getting chilly. Have also ordered my repeat prescription.Hugs, sticks, spoons and coping vibes being dispensed as needed x7 -
Morning all,
Still here, just caught up with the old and new threads while having a cuppa and a sneaky biscuit.
Lots of hugs and supporting vibes to everyone.
YL - so pleased about the blood results. I have always managed to get in with DD who is not embarrassed to say that she wants her mum there. I do often have to wait outside or in a foyer and then leg it in onceshe gets called, but no way is she ever going to get told devastating news on her own again, just because I didn’t make the case for being with her in an adult clinic. Paediatrics was a breeze in hindsight compared to adult clinics. As for your colleague - it is none of their business to express an opinion on how they think you should be coping. Until you are dealing with that situation, you have no idea whatsoever how you will behave or how draining the worry is. Lots of love and hugs to you for being who you are and there for your DS come whatever xx
Kaz - here whenever and for whatever I can do. Pm if you want to vent x
Round - take it easy today, honey. I hope Boris feels the fear and disappears for good x
Mademoiselle - big congratulations to your DD. Well done her for making a good impression.
Badcat - nice to see you back, you have been missed.
ASB - that is so lovely and fully deserved, my lovely.
Flying?? I have excelled ( by my standards, just polishing my halo-ette 😇). DD’s room vacuumed at her request, as the plaster cast has been shedding its bits. Coffee stains wiped from the skirting board (???), mirror polished. Landing and stairs vacuumed as it was rude not to do at least part of the list. Bathrooms S&S. Bendy veg soup made - tastes pretty good. Wm x 1, HHI.
I have to pick DD up at lunchtime as it is her last day at school apart from exams. Forever. She said yesterday how much she had actually liked her school, especially 6th form, so thank you to all you inspirational 6th form teachers. Looking at you here, ASB.
Yetserday’s hospital visit was long drawn out (road closures, traffic, waiting times) but in short they appear pleased with her progress. The various casts and supports are off which is great. But male middle aged surgeons appear to have no idea about what really affects an 18 year old’s mental attitude. Not your beautiful needlework, sir, she is anxious by her change in looks and what the future holds. **hits head against a brick wall**. Deep breath, one day at a time…
Whoops, sorry, a long post. I will go back to my squalor now 😊8 -

Oh dear.. that 'stuff to add to the 'to-do' pile' stage.. thankfully I had very few things to be actioned.. I have a pile of nursery paintings to photograph so I can bin the original artworks.. I have the PDSA paperwork to see if we can rejoin so I can get Hazel checked over and thankfully very little else.
OH is hanging out washing.. Harvey and Luna are outside basking on the line.. Harvey was still grey so he has had a proper scrub in the sink.. I will fling pics at you in a sec.. honestly.. he was filthy! He has been bathed before because he was vommed on, I have a mesh bag for washing such things.. so he was ok, Kuna is less loved so not half so bad. It is horrifying the filth we allow our grotty children to sleep with! lol.
