Morning all
Sorry I haven’t been posting, things have been hectic and stressful. I’ve been keeping up with the thread though... hugs and coping vibes to all in need xx
I started the day with polishing my halo lol, I did all the kitchen and dining room jobs yesterday, the oven is also being cleaned today... and I’m not doing it! It needed a few minor repairs and as it is a really good oven (will jinx it now lol) we decided to get it professionally cleaned and the chap will do the repairs at the same time, couple of hours work for him... huge saving of time for me. And it will look much better!
So, dailies are done, wm has been run and washing is in the TD as we are having heavy rain showers again today... 2nd cuppa made and I’m off back to the paid stuff.
catch you all later, take care x7 -

Washing on the line. Showered but not yet in work clothes - I need to iron first. Have a mild headache so have taken tablets as small children and headaches aren't a good combination. Cat appears to be on mouse watch, it's obviously taxing as she's now curled up in her cat bed. *faints*
Churchill stonecast.. Shocking prices.. I will not be getting the matchy bowls!
She is a naughty tortie.. always unpredictable. Or cat beds are in the washer.. Hazel has been very.. productive.. overnight.. I'm washing the hallway carpet next!!
Badcat.. I have mine professionally cleaned once a year.. I figure by the time I have bought 25 bottles of ovenmate, brillo pads and 5 pairs of latex free gloves I may as well just pay someone to do it and make a decent job and save me LOADS of time. Have the room well aired though the chemicals are NASTY! Mine is a 110cm range cooker so time consuming to do.. this new one has an induction hob so a saving had from the gas hob with was always rank. I can keep this one clean.

Oven done, definitely worth what it cost, took 2 hours, not sure what chemicals this company used but there was hardly any smell at all and I was close to it in the dining room which is open plan to the kitchen. My hob is ok, I keep on top of that by wiping down after every use so it doesn’t ever get too bad.Piggers, I think like you I might be scheduling it to be done annually, less people in this house but I do cook most things from scratch so it sees pretty much daily use x
Back up in my office now for more paid stuff, bit of a disjointed day today but things are getting done which makes me happy x8 -
Valli, what a lovely colour of cat, mine cat is the same he brought a bird in last week, let go, it flew behind the wall unit, he went to sleep, eventually it came out, so I grabbed it and put it on the patio to recover and fly away, cat opened one eye and went back to sleep.Pigpen it sounds like these plates you have been given are great.Shower plus / tray all doneFood shop doneI don't relise how old I am, went on line to book a ticket for a garden show in July, thought I'd go on the cheapest day, tickets are all the same price, while sorting out which day, I noticed it said ' over 60's concession' it suddenly dawned on me, I could have one of those, £2 saved, then they added £1.35 on as a booking charge.........OH has now left for his 3rd hospital appointment in as many weeks, he and I am now getting very worried over what they are finding, as so far they have said nothing. Today he is going to press them for some thing. Edit: bad news, we both have to go in next week, to find out how serious, and they have a plan to discuss with us.Off to hang out the towels.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

So far I have cleaned the study thoroughly, S&S'd the kitchen and tidied every room except DH's empire (I shall shut the door firmly). I have WMx1 of 3 spinning, but it is too showery to hang out.
I am currently without a pc so typing on my K1nd!e, which is very awkward.
Pigpen, have you checked on Ama20n? I think the blue bowls work out at. £6 each, sold in packs of 6 - still steep, but not as bad if you have plates for nowt.
Good decision on the cooker, BadCat 😀
I might throw some seeds along the drive this afternoon...9 -
Iona, I have yes, they do not have the right colour. I'm not too fussed tbh, I can get a nice set once the children are bigger I would just be happy with some the same and the right shape at the moment.

TD on second run
Ebeasty items packaged.. one more to do but OH has piled tools on the boxes and they are too heavy for me to move so will have to wait for him to get home so I can find the last item.
I put away 10 things and put some in the bin and earmarked 2 items for CS.
I am struggling to see any progress being made. I will sort the kallax boxes and that is visible progress.I want one of the boxes for OH's work clothes. I have 2 for hats and gloves etc, 2 for pack up bits and the other 4 are full of absolute rubbish.. I can empty at least 1 more I am sure.. but.. one at a time.

Kallax box 2 sorted. I now have an empty box for OH's work clothes to stop the cat sleeping on them.. no one needs cat hair in their dinner when they go out to eat I'm sure.
I have lots of innotab games Twinkle might like to try, a few bits for CS and lots for the bin. and a couple of books for the shelf. I found a few important bits of paperwork to keep too.

Late check in from me. Great weekend catching up with DD2. She has been offered a permanent job where she is doing her internship starting the day after she finishes so she's a happy soul. Paying proper money too.
Lots of stuff cleared out of other house, it's amazing how quickly paper work and magazines etc build up
Not much will get done here as off on holiday from Wednesday evening, very very long day at work tomorrow and this morning was spent listening to friends chat over coffee as we haven't seen each other for ages and they both are having a hard time at the moment so it was much needed and appreciated.
WM & TD have been on
Kitchen fairly tidy
I need to have a good hoover through before I leave so hopefully will FLY on Wednesday
