Hello! Sun Addict let me know you too are on Mounjaro, I have just finished my first week on it and lost 5.2lbs, no side effects here either, am very happy with it so far!Mortgage Total: £51,801 / £75,000

Hi there @benbenandme - congratulations on a fantastic first week on Mounjaro!👍. I'm coming up to my first four week weigh-in on Tuesday - if you've read my previous posts you will see that I've lost nearly 13lb in three weeks which I'm over the moon about so really hoping I hit a stone lost on Tuesday. I'm also increasing my dose from 2.5mg to 5mg on Tuesday. I'm a bit anxious, but like you, I've had no side effects up till now so fingers crossed. 🤞
I'll be popping over to your diary to see how you're getting along so good luck!
I met a friend who I used to work with for lunch today in a local cafe - it was really nice as I haven't seen her for over a month so we had a good gossip and caught up with each other's events. This afternoon I did some housework and put a couple of loads of washing on. Afterwards I finished my book and caught up with a few of my subscribed YouTube channels.Tonight I'm watching another episode of The Perfect Couple on Netflix. I watched the first episode last night and quite liked it.SCRIMPY MSE THINGS
Today's spends was lunch at the cafe - it was my turn today - my friend will pay next time.Nothing else spent.WEIGHT
I've moved this section to the bottom of my post as the spends section seems more relevant to be placed above. Also if anyone isn't interested in the Weight bit, it's easier to skip over. 😁I didn't have anything to eat till lunch. I had my usual favourite at this cafe which is jacket potato with cheese and beans and a flat white with oat milk. It usually comes with a side of small salad and coleslaw but I asked to leave this off the plate. The manager actually came over after my potato appeared to apologise as she thought I didn't have enough cheese and brought a ramekin of grated cheese! Normally I would have dumped the whole lot on my spud but instead I put a small amount on there and left the rest. I also left about a quarter of the potato as I'd had enough. This cafe also sells amazing cakes and their lemon drizzle is one of my favourites. I always have this as a dessert or take a slice home with me.This time I didn't even bother as I felt fully satisfied, which is unheard of for me!
So the Mounjaro is definitely working!😀
I had my fruit and yoghurt around teatime and tonight still wasn't really hungry so I had a tin of minestrone, some ryvitas, low fat cheese triangles and cherry toms.Calorie count was 1276.Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Today was a lazy Saturday - I went for a walk and on the way back I decided to pop into the C0-0p just to see if they still had the San Pellegrino on special offer for £2 for two bottles. They did so I decided to buy four bottles before the offer ended. It's retailing at £1.60 and above around here and as this is my 'fizzy drink' of choice ( I don't like cola or most other fizzies), I thought I'd take advantage. This afternoon I rang up my travel insurance provider as they sent me a quote for my forthcoming annual renewal (see below how that went!) and then settled down to watch an afternoon romcom - Designing Women' with Lauren Bacall. It's one of my fave 1950's films and I love the fashions!

Spends out today was the fizzy water. Nothing else.WEIGHT
As I mentioned above, I rang my travel insurance provider as they sent me a new quote for my annual renewal. I have to go with an insurer that provides cover for my pre-existing conditions as I'm on medication for high blood pressure and under active thyroid. As I'm now on Mounjaro and also waiting to see my GP to discuss my recent MRI knee scan and a wrist ganglion I thought I'd better update the insurer. So apparently because I purchase the Mounjaro through an online pharmacy and my GP hasn't prescribed the drug, the insurer wants confirmation from said GP that they're happy that I'm taking it. I explained that I have completed a long questionnaire from the pharmacy, they have seen my photo and agreed I'm medically obese. Also the pharmacy have written to my GP to confirm they have prescribed it and this letter has been scanned by the surgery onto my patient records a fortnight ago. I haven't heard back at all from the surgery that they have any concerns with the prescription. So I've now got to obtain confirmation. I am seeing my GP the week after next so hopefully this can be resolved. I really hope so as I'm off to Italy for a week in November and need to be insured!😳
Anyhow, usual brunch and fruit/yoghurt today. Dinner was cod in battered tempura, the rest of the packet of Spanish grains from the other evening and steamed broccoli. Calories were 1291.Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
