  • I never thought about the insurance, I’m 8 stone down with the jabs and nearly at target with an under active thyroid but never thought to tell my insurance company 😭😭😭😭
Wow that's amazing! Well done. How long did that take you?

I took the plunge this weekend and have ordered my first dose as it really seems to be helping so many people.

  • Oh @dawnybabes!  That's absolutely fantastic!  8 stone in eighteen months - way to go!👏👏👏. Have you been taking Mounjaro or Wegovy?

I'll report back on the insurance situation in due course. I'm rather scrupulous in declaring my medication as I don't want the insurance company trying to wriggle out of paying out if something medically went wrong when I'm abroad. I have heard some horror stories over the years. This has been especially important whenever I have visited the US over the past few years - I don't want to end up uninsured over there!😳

Good luck with your first dose @Sarahwithlove   👍

Today the weather couldn't make up its mind here. Bright sun this morning then torrential rain for an hour or so this afternoon and then the Big Yellow Ball came out again!🤷‍♀️

I had my Sunday brunch with my friend then went to buy a card for a friend whose birthday has suddenly crept up on me. I also popped into our little Tesc0 as I was nearly out of yoghurt and also bought this week's lottery tickets. . I'm out tomorrow so I won't have time to get to Aldi's till Tuesday to stock up.

Today I downloaded a book from Kindle from my 'Books/itunes/Home Film' allowance. It's Robert Harris's new novel 'Precipice'. I always look forward to when he releases a new book - he's such a good writer.

Looking at the diary for the coming week:  I have a friend's lunchtime birthday celebration at her home, off to our local theatre on Wednesday evening to see 'Hairspray' with DSis (tickets were bought a few months ago), and on Friday I have my hair appointment in London.

    MSE SCRIMPY THINGS
Just my share of brunch, birthday card, yoghurt and lottery tickets today.

    WEIGHT
I had guesstimate brunch on my Nutracheck app, but I think I got it mainly right: two oat flat whites, poached eggs on sourdough and a sausage. Usual fruit/yogurt this afternoon and dinner was Spicy Tomato and Lentil soup, ryvitas with low fat cheese spread and cherry toms. Calories were 1299.

  • Yes you definitely don't want to give the insurance any reason to not pay out!

All ten weightloss is going fantastically. Well done everyone.
It makes sense to tell the insurance people about everything- they’ll wriggle out of anything 🤬

@dawnybabes - 8 stone over 18 months is still an absolute terrific loss!  I hope I do as well as you have done!🏅
@Sarahwithlove and @milann - I don't trust insurers one bit when they realise they have to pay out!😁

This morning I headed down to the shops. Brrr!  For the first time in ages it felt cold enough for a jacket. I wanted to get my friend a plant to take to her birthday-do. She was adamant she didn't want presents, but she's so sweet and gone through so much healthwise over the past few years that I wanted to get her something. So I bought a beautiful white hydrangea as she loves plants and flowers and has a beautiful garden. The guy who sold it to me said it's been really hard to get white hydrangeas recently.
I headed out later and also took a bottle of wine, but I got this from my own stores. She had a nice gathering of friends there and she put on a lovely spread. I stayed a few hours and then caught a cab home and got in tea time.

Read some of my new book and looking forward to watching the last episode of 'Sherwood' later.

Today's spends were the plant and taxis.
🐙 also sent me an emailing advising me of my free electricity hour tomorrow so I'll be making good use of that!😀

    WEIGHT
Bit of an out of kilter day today food-wise. I just had my coffee and collagen before I went out. At my friend's I had a small samosa, two quarters of an egg mayonnaise sandwich, a chocolate tea cake and a small piece of cream sponge with a small amount of cream. Drinks were a small glass of Sauvignon Blanc and two flutes of champagne. I had these over the course of the visit and didn't feel like anything else. I had to guesstimate again at the calorie count when I got home but worked it out as best I could to around just over 1,000 calories!😳. I haven't felt that hungry though so had a tin of carrot and coriander soup, two ryvitas with low fat cheese spread and some cherry toms. This hasn't been my most nutritious day as protein, fruit and veg and carbs have all been low.
I worked today's calories out to be 1483 which is just 10 calories over my daily recommendation weight loss amount so I'm not too worried about this
It's the last day of the week before my weekly weigh in tomorrow - the weekly average total of calories came to 1344 which is the more important total I look at and was pleased with this!😀
It's also Mounjaro day tomorrow and my second month taking it. I'll be increasing my dose to 5mg from 2.5mg so fingers crossed no side effects as I've been lucky so far. 🤞
