Best of luck with the jabs. I’m on a diabetic one which left me feeling dreadful initially but has finally settled down. Make sure you allow for some bedding in. My nausea tended to be at its worst two days after I jabbed so I tried to stay close to home thenMortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Awww - thank you so much guys for your lovely, supportive comments. It feels good to be back and posting!❤️
Today started rather disorganised. I was meant to be at the salon for my pedicure at 9.30am - for some reason I totally overslept and woke up at 9.10am! I called them quickly and they were fine about it and I'm booked in tomorrow now!
Anyhow I got myself together, showered, put some washing on, quickly vacuumed and popped out. I had to buy a new bulb for the bathroom light which left me in the dark last night. When I got to our local DIY store I was sorry to learn that they will be closing in the next few weeks as they're moving shop to smaller premises and doing something totally new. The proprietor said that footfall had fallen the last couple of years and the shop was too big and expensive to keep on. I'll miss it as the other DIY shop in walking distance closed a couple of years ago and now we have none. I just hope that whoever takes the premises over uses it as a 'shop' and not a cafe/restaurant, of which we have plenty at the moment locally. But it's a big floorspace so who knows how things will go. 🤷♀️
I also needed to buy my lottery tickets so nipped into the little Co-op. They had San Pellegrino on special offer - two bottles for £2 so I bought these, and also six pack of the Co-op free range golden yolk eggs which I like. This afternoon my friend came round to do my nails which was nice as we had a chin-wag at the same time.WEIGHT
As I'm on the Mounjaro weight loss journey, I've decided to start recording this in my diary. I know this isn't 'money saving' but it'll be good to have an ongoing record for me. It might be of interest to some, but feel free to skip over if you're not interested!😁
Ive been basically keeping to three meals a day. I don't like eating breakfast at 'breakfast' time so I'll have my little cafetière of coffee with oat milk and one tbsp of my collagen powder mixed in with one of the cups of coffee. I've been taking this quite recently to help my skin, nails etc and to help increase my protein intake. Don't know how effective it will be but I'll finish the pack.I tend to have poached eggs, baked beans, wholemeal toast and cherry tomatoes most days for lunch but today I had a change with sardines and a large salad. I always try to have three different fruits and fat-free Greek style yoghurt for lateish afternoon and then dinner around 8pmish. Tonight it's chicken shawarma kebabs, wholegrain. basmati rice and sweetcorn. I'm also trying really hard to get my daily water intake up to 6-8 glasses - although we all should be doing this, it's especially important whilst taking Mounjaro.I've got the Nutracheck app which is an absolute godsend as it's got every food and drink calorie count, including all the supermarkets and a comprehensive eating out section. Plus you can enter your own favourite recipes and it'll give you the calorie count. It records all your proteins, carbs etc and I've been weighing out everything with it. It's very much like MyFitnessPal but I prefer Nutracheck. You can get a 6 day free trial and I think you can sometimes get a discount code but I couldn't find one at the time.So today is the end of Week 3 - weigh in and Mounjaro day tomorrow. Nutracheck has told me that my average daily calorie count over the week has been 1146 and I'm still not feeling like snacking or overeating although reading @redofromstart's foodie posts may challenge this!🤣
