Good luck with Slimming World! I've been a member since 2010 and have been a target member for about 10 years. The great thing about it is that nothing's banned and I have never felt hungry, which is very important. You ought come over and join us on the Slimming World support thread - the current title is Lose Lockdown Lard with Slimming World. It seems that lots of people have gained weight over the last 18 moths or so.
Your dinner tonight sounds very SW friendly!

Thanks @joedenise and @beanielou. I'll have a mosey on over to the thread once I've been to the meeting on Tuesday. 😀
Today I met my friend for brunch - I had a veggie sausage sandwich with ketchup and two flat whites with oat milk. It was her turn to pay this time so I left the tip. I also bought a slice of lemon drizzle cake in the cafe to eat this afternoon. They do the best cakes in town!😋🍰. You're all probably thinking that this doesn't bode very well for Slimming World. I've been buying a slice of cake there each week - and it will probably be the last for a while because who knows how many Syns it contained!😱
I didn't get round to cleaning the bathroom today apart from the daily 'swish and swipe'. I tend to lapse into a bit of 'still working' mindset in that I forget sometimes that now I've retired, jobs don't have to crammed into the weekend - I now have time to do them in the week. 😀.
But I did sort out and tidy my shoes again in the bottom of the wardrobe and made a note of the summer styles which will be put away at the end of September. I'll have a look at my bags during the week.MSE SCRIMPY THINGS
Apart from the cake and tip, I had an email from YNAB today telling me that they are debiting my annual fee tomorrow - $45. I've set this up to be paid from my Barclaycard Reward card as you don't pay foreign currency charges here. I had a look at my Barclaycard account and it is showing as a pending payment of £33.09. Well worth the price in my opinion. YNAB totally changed the way I budgeted - or rather, didn't budget in the past! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I've found since retiring that the weekend is the perfect time to do housework, I used to think my mother was a little mad doing hers at the weekend, but she went somewhere every day Mon to Fri then stayed home when everywhere was really busy. It does make sense unless the people you want to see are still working.

@badmemory - in general I'm still doing the usual weekly household tasks around the weekend - force of habit maybe. My point was that if I do a periodic 'big' clean or reorganisation then I now have all week to decide what day I do this instead of cramming everything at the weekend because I would be too tired to do it when I got home from work.Anyway the bathroom still awaits! - I decided to sort out the handbags instead. I have a couple of designer bags that I have had for years, haven't used in ages and could do with rejuvenating to give them a new lease of life! There are some handbag 'doctor' businesses that do this and have heard good reports on some of them. After the sort out there were no handbags to ping to either the dress agency or charity shop. I'm going to buy some stick-on hooks tomorrow to put on the inside of the wardrobe doors so that I can hang a few and free up space.I also popped out for a walk as the weather was beautiful today and posted some cards and picked up a couple of bits in the Co-op on the way back.
I've also been having trouble with my wi-fi in that it keeps cutting out quite a few times during the day, it started last Wednesday and hasn't got any better. I'm going to have to ring Sky. It's driving me up the wall and I, of course, am a complete numpty when it comes to anything techie so I'm not looking forward to the conversation!😩MSE SCRIMPY THINGS

Where I work people WFH who use Sky couldn’t get on the network at the end of last week. It could be the same problem.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Thanks for the info @Sun_Addict - I've checked the outages in my area and any outside cable type problems on the troubleshooting page on my Sky account today but all was ok. I then rang the Sky helpline who tested things and it appears the problem is my router doesn't surprise me because it is so old. They are posting me a new one. I'm also getting a Sky Q box to replace my old HD one which is elderly too. I did try to upgrade to the Sky Q a few months ago but their engineers weren't allowed to come into homes due to Covid restrictions and as I couldn't face the thought of scrabbling around trying to do it myself whilst the engineer barked instructions down the phone, I didn't go with the offer. Anyway I'm still in contract so I'm getting everything for my current cost, plus as Sky Q comes with Netflix I'll save myself £5.99 per month. I hope it all blinking works!!!😫
I went to Slimming World this morning. I really enjoyed the class - when I've joined slimming clubs before I've always gone in the evening and people always seemed to get weighed straight from arriving from work and then rushed away. This class feels a lot more friendly and I really like the group leader who sat down with us newbies and explained things in an instructive and entertaining manner. The four candidates for the class Slimmer of the Year all stood up and told their stories - they all have done so well. They brought in items of their pre-weight loss clothing. Wow!😳. Other class members brought in some food they had made from SW recipes for people to try and all in all it was a nice meeting.I then joined a friend I hadn't seen for a week or so for coffee and a veggie sausage bagel. The cafe owner also gave us a free rocky road type cake to try! Good job I'm starting SW tomorrow! But then my friend reminded me that a few of us are going to a cheese and wine evening in a few weeks time!😱
DSis told me the other day that there is a new musical starting in London starring Beverley Knight about The Drifters. Called 'Drifters Girl' it's the story of the group and their female manager. She has swung into action and is booking tickets for December for our Christmas limo trip. Can't wait!😀
