Thanks x
I do texting, phone calls and teams calls with DS2. The home has requested that the calls are timetabled so we do Wednesday and Sunday but do sometimes do other days at his request.
He did like Among us whilst he lived here Piggers.
He requested I rang today and he asked if he couldn’t come home for ever. I explained he couldn’t at the moment. I told him a social story of a friend who’s son had to move out due to hurting her a few years ago and now is allowed to stay overnight and sometime for the weekend.
More meetings today.

Good evening xx
Occlusion of my right eye really helped me to cope with working on the computer screen. I went into work yesterday with a plastic budgie on my shoulder- couldn't find the Cadbury's parrot, it's in the RoD somewhere. The budgie made people laugh. And a nurse did a double take as she walked past the open office door 🤣
Got a week off now to rest my eye and there are promising signs that Papa Round will soon be allowed home, so I'll be able to pop round and visit.
piggers - I am clearing my cluttered bedroom by removing / putting away one item every time I open or close the bedroom curtains. It's amazing how quickly it makes a difference. I now have floor in there 🙃
This means that the kitchen, living room, bathroom and my bedroom are all started and work in progress. H/S/L are decluttered. DS's room is empty apart from carpet and curtains. RoD is bedroom 3. And there is also the cupboard of doom under the stairs. And 2 sheds.
I, too, cannot throw out 'good' stuff. But I'm getting better at letting things go. And if I get 'stuck' on something I put it to one side and carry on- so I don't lose momentum.
Big hugs to all

RxxI'm glad you found a budgie.. better than nothing.. haha. Excellent news about Papa Round.. is he giving them a hard time nagging yet? I don't open and close my curtains.. they are really dark and if my room is dark I would never get out of bed.. I sleep with a light on too.. Im not afraid of the dark.. I'm afraid if I get up to pee I will fall and break my neck.I brought another tea towel down from my room and put another thing in the bin. I put away a pair of scissors and a pair of socks.
DM..That must be heartbreaking but it might mean something is getting through to him about his behaviour and it may be a step in the right direction.. fingers crossed he can come home for just one nightLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8 -
Well that's the end of a busy week. Had some sad news. Also looks like I'll be moving class in school as a plan hasn't come to fruition so I'm needed in there until July. Not sure if this will impact my weeks on the thread... if anyone's keen to cover if necessary please let me know!
Pleased I've done so much in the house as DD has come back as she has appointments.
so paperwork rescued from her room (which doubles as my study).
Tonight I've WUALTD, set DW and WM. Been to little Lidl, got butternut squash on offer and picked up some salmon a 30% off, so while tea cooked I baked the salmon. For lunches.

Morning all. Hope you're all ok today.
It's do nothing Saturday but since getting up an hour ago I've tidied the floor area in the shoe cupboard, spot cleaned the hall rug, got my stuff ready for seeing friends later and repaired a dog toy.Spend less now, work less later.9 -

Morning all
Popped in and out of the WAC room last night every couple of hours, keeping the standards up by plumping the cushions for the next flylady.Hugs to you, Dancemum. So hard, but Piggers is right as ever - give yourself some love, as you couldn’t be doing any more to support your DS.
Round - I ran a pirate evening with Brownies many years ago. Amongst other pirate themed things they all had to colour a parrot to fix on their shoulders. They had a whale of a time, but I think that the parents thought I was slightly bonkers. I hope Papa Round is doing ok.
No flying since my binge on Thursday. Told that DD has to have the aggressive chemo that she had before, so that has taken any shine there was off anything.DH is going to the allotment this morning. He is trying to salvage something for me for later in the year, but my heart isn’t in it anymore. I have some ironing to do, more than likely a wm load to put on, and I guess that I had better get dressed too. DH has used up all the bread - how hard was it to remember to get some when he went to the village shop this morning… I might get my act together and make some - or I might stamp my foot and make him go back to the shop.
Hugs all round, have lovely days all x7 -
Hugs Fayolle.
I've changed the sofa covers and cushion covers and the second load is in machine, first on line. All dailies are done and I drove with the dogs to a nearby village for a change and had a lovely walk in the sunshine with them.
Gardening next. I'm going to risk planting some outside but still a little worried about frosts.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
(((Hugs))) Fayolle.I overdid it yesterday. Ironing two full length silk curtains that are, at best, shabby chic didn't do me any good at all after I'd done all the other ironing, and then Belovéd asked me to do something for him. I swapped it out with a dog walk, but by the time I'd finished I was so tired I just wanted to cry. Today will not be about activity, so the decluttering will be on hold until Monday because I have Foodbank paperwork to do tomorrow. I have one more box of gibble to sort from the attic which will be straightforward because I know where its all going, and then after that I'll be delving into the blacks/colours drawer to make space for pjs and nighties.Better is good enough.9
