i had a computer problem 12 months ago and had to reinstall everything but i think following is correct.
I have data going back to 2021 courtesy of Energystats web site and Gas was 24.15 on 22/03/2022 which was highest it has ever been.
Electricity was 57.37 on that day but has been up in the 70s in the August of 2022.
Agile was in mid 30s around same time but has reached a lot higher during peak hours on other dates (up to 90+ in some half hour slots).

Bearing in mind that the new formula is supposedly incorporating the approx. 3.5p per kWh reduction for electricity and approx. 0.32p per kWh reduction for gas, then this change is (yet another) very unfavourable one. RIP Tracker.

As far as i am aware, Octopus have not said how they will apply the reduction to Tracker tariffs,
If it is done via the formula and it has been incorporated in the April 26 formula, then, surely, they will either have to recontract all those on Tracker prior to 1st April and give customers the option of changing tariff without the 9 month penalty or keep them on their existing formula and then apply the reduction when calculating bills.

I actually don't think they can/will change the rates, it tracks wholesale prices, nobody in the government has said anything about removing 3.x p / 0.3x p from wholesale, indeed they can't do that. So tracker is stuck , bye bye tracker .

They already have! The formula from 1 April is
Electricity unit charge: (W * 0.129) + 10.293 p per kWh
.. which is (about) 3p less than the previous tariff..
If what I said helped you, please "Thank" the relevant post. It cheers me up somewhat..0 -
Tracker customers are able to change to current version if they want to, doing so does not involve leaving Tracker + current tariffs have to be available to existing customers.

Fair enough have you looked at Gas ?
(W * 0.0361) + 2.0936 p vs (W * 0.03615) + 1.961 p that's gone the other way !
