Depends which way you think this line is most likely to go, probably

A screenshot from the Trading Economics website showing a graph of EU natural gas prices in Eur/MWh over the last week. The end of February has been around 30-32, shoots up to and fluctuates around 40 on 1st March (coinciding with the attacks on Iran) and then up again on the 2nd March to 48, and fluctuates a bit, down to 43.160 at the latest price.

Ugh, I realise it should have been the UK prices but both graphs are pretty much the same and I don't have it in me to redo the alt text for a different screenshot.

Tracker outlived its worth some time ago, because the small potential savings were substantially outweighed by the large risks. Those large risks have now materialised, and unless you're particularly optimistic about the Middle East and Ukraine Tracker is no place for the faint-hearted.

Interesting point but surely if political problems in said areas cause a large spike in wholesale prices then those companies, particularly the small ones, offering what are currently cheap fixed price tariffs could take a huge financial hit and, again for the smaller ones, go out of business. Yes, if that happens there safety measures in place which may mean having to change supplier but would that supplier honour the fixed, and now, uneconomic tariff? I very much doubt it!

It is said that there is a limit to everything. This cannot be true as everything has no limit!

The answer to that depends essentially on two things: the financial strength of the company in question and the extent to which it’s covered its fixed price contracts with forward purchases/futures.

I've jumped ship for our gas. We only had about another 10 weeks on it anyway, and have fixed at 5.27p from 1st April (5.6p now). That's cheaper than the 5.78p fix I had last year before I ditched for Tracker.
