We renewed on with tracker last month on the September 2025 v1, and Electric for tomorrow the 4th March in the East Midlands is 29.61p/kWh. Gas is not out yet for tomorrow, but today it is 6.29p/kWh
Is it worth riding the storm out 😕

I'm staying on Tracker for gas, at least for now.

Just checked a quote again (put in my neighbour's address) and the rates have gone up today from what I fixed at late morning. I've got 5.27p from 1st April, they are now quoting 5.83p. What's significant is there's a £50 exit fee per fuel for changing company or tariff in the 1st year. No exit fee this morning.

The current gas spike might not last, and (at least for my household) heating season is mostly behind us - we're using maybe 1/4 of the gas now that we were back in January. The risk is tolerable to me.

I agree, I am sticking with it for the time being at least. I have saved £150 over the last three months alone. I have been on Tracker for the last 4 years and saved money every year so I am not going to jump at the first hiccup.

Yeah I guess that's a fair shout tbf. It being spring instead of winter definitely helps here.
That and my solar panels. Somewhat annoying that it's now cheaper to use electricity overnight than it is to use gas, lol
