Avoiding answering your question .. I'd be interested in knowing if at least there's a pattern of Tracker being cheaper or more expensive than Agile / a fix depending on the season. No more complicated than that.

    I'm still on Gas Tracker.
Currently in discussions with Octopus CS re. whether it's meant to be billed on actual daily meter readings or not! Will share whatever conclusion we reach.

Had been vaguely toying with the idea of going back to Tracker, but it’s just not worth it now. The downside risks used to be more than outweighed by the upside, but Octopus has changed all that. Greedier and greedier.

Not entirely sure how it's "greedy" when it's an experimental tariff, for risk-tolerant customers, who can leave at any time without penalty?
You want to leave (or not join), that's entirely up to you. There are plenty of other tariffs and suppliers to choose from.

Last I heard, it's only billed on actual readings if they have a full month of readings with no missing half hour slots for your gas meter.  If there is even one slot missing, the whole month is billed using a a notional calculation.

The greed applies not just to Tracker (which has had its multiplier of the underlying wholesale price ratcheted further and further up since its inception) but to all its tariffs. Once competitive, it no longer is, and the bigger it’s become the less competitive its pricing. Unsurprising, I suppose, but it is living very much on past reputation. A quick check on the MSE Energy Club shows how uncompetitive its become.

Go to Octopus' Our Tariffs page and put your postcode in (don't select quote), filter with 'domestic', scroll down to Tracker.

FWIW, I was on December 2024 v1, which would be: 4.76p/kWh & 29.71p/day for today.
    September 2025 v1 is 5.13p/kWh & 33.26p/day.

    Electricity would be 23.26p/kWh & 59.5p/day.
    September 2025 v1 is 25.38p/kWh & 60.04p/day.

I was originally on Tracker v2 (up until June 2024), which, for electricity (can't get gas wholesale prices to calculate the unit rate, but gas standing charge was 15.09p/day), would be 18.23p/kWh & 22.17p/day...!

Follow the instructions in my reply to @pfpf above.

They don't seem to have updated the Tracker FAQ with the September 2025 v1 formulae, yet, but it can be found here:
