I wonder when people were asked? If it is immediately after switchover UW probably did ok because they promise the earth with massive savings, then put payments up after a couple of months. If you also have other services eg internet and phone you might find it very difficult to leave them. Octopus is nowhere near as good as they were 2 years ago.Telegraph_Sam said:Moneyweek.com today published the results of a Citizens Advice survey of energy suppliers based on customer service April to June. Out of 15 suppliers Octopus came in at no 12, one place below Brit Gas and 3 below E.ON. >> Not something to shout about if the results can be believed. Top of the rankings was Ecotricity (Eco who?) followed by Utility WH and E (Gas and Electric). I suppose these are the kind of people we should be investigating before mid Feb.0 -
For me in London on Dec23 tracker it's going to be 25.53p.SJMALBA said:Looks like tomorrow's electricity UR will be the highest of the year so far? For me, on April 2024v1, 26.34p/kWh compared to SVT @ 24.96p/kWh.
Octopus SVT here is higher than you are claiming: if I want to switch to SVT the quote is 25.68p (so tomorrows peak is still below it), 12m fix is 23.80p. How come SVT you quote is lower? Is SVT region dependant?
We are low'ish energy users (3500 kWh elec & 5000 kWh gas pa) so extortionate standing charges are more in play for us to assess what is cheaper...0 -
26.57p where I am. Seriously considering ditching it for Tomato at 22.67 with two periods of 13.37 and a couple hours of 4.76 in the small hours. 40p standing charge too which makes it even more attractive. Just wondering if it's worth the potential hassle seeing the initial feedback...bristolleedsfan said:October 2024 current tracker version - North West Region - Tomorrow 28.04p kWh0 -
Yes, URs vary between energy regions.jadex said:

Tomorrow's Agile rates make today's look cheap! 86.19p is our highest rate tomorrow. Glad we've got the batteries.

I think my Tracker vs Agile comparisons will be looking rather less similar for the next couple of days. Things should improve a little from Thursday. Is it wrong to hope for a storm next week?

23.81p in Yorkshire. No storm next week thanks, I’m touring Scotland so I’d like another week of mild weather.0

How are people finding out what Tracker rates will be tomorrow. Is there an app or page?0

gastracker.uk, put your region and current tariff version in.
Edit: one of many available options, but it's my preferred one for the simplicity of it.1 -

Over the top for most people..Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –
